"We had a wonderful stay at Jon & Katie’s beautiful home. My family, ranging in age from 14-85 yo, stayed for four nights to attend my niece’s wedding. The home was spacious, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. With so many bedrooms we were easily able to spread out, and the varied living/gathering spaces made relaxation and hanging out fun. "The San Diego family traveled to Arcata for my grandson's high school graduation. The house was generously sized for adults and younger grandchildren who made the trip. The location was quiet yet close to grocery shopping in Sunny Brae. The house was very clean and neat, bath towels fluffy, kitchen fully equipped. The upstairs suite was perfect for the oldest (me) member of our troupe. I highly recommend Humboldt Haven!"

"I needed to visit the area at the last minute and I really lucked out with this home. You can tell you are staying in someone’s home not a house that has been “flipped” for short term rentals. It is super cozy with high quality furnishings and the kitchen is stocked better than anywhere else I’ve stayed. It’s hard to tell from the listing but there are 3 separate rooms for sleeping. One queen bed in one room, two twin beds in another room and a futon in the tv room. I visited to help a family...

"Loved the house. I wished there was covering for the door. It has a lot of glass and people can look right in the door. Some of the items are placed to high for some people to reach. For example the laundry soap and the coffee mugs. No iron or ironing board. The knob to change from tub to shower head was very difficult to turn. Otherwise everything was perfect."

"I was very disappointed the property its self was great clean and a cool space but we didn’t realize that we were above a bar for 2 nights I didn’t sleep at all the noise was unbelievable you could here everything that went on in the bar I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who was not going to be part of the bar seen.. it’s a shame as the property was great..!"
