"This was in the middle of the Redwood National and State Forest. We explored so many awesome trails. It is remote, so if you are looking for finer food and beer, you have to be willing to drive 20 minutes north to Crescent City. This was a perfect base camp for us."

"Little misguiding saying two bdrms. There are two beds in one room and a blow up mattress for the living\kitchen area. But overall a great place to stay, wish we had a little more time in the area."

"We had a wonderful time at this property while visiting the Redwood National and State parks. Our family included two seniors, parents and children of all ages. This home provided a home away from home with the VERY spacious interior that included comfortable beds and 4 bathrooms. I really appreciated the attention to detail with cleanliness and with items like maps and information to help us with our visit to the Redwoods, firewood available for use in the home and fragrance free products that...

"Very Spacious and quiet. The interior is quite beautiful. Very close from all 3 Redwood state parks and next to the Klamath River. It’s inside a bitten down RV park, so exterior is okay. The RV park hostess is very friendly and helpful. If you are using Virbo or Expedia to book this, make sure you save the details somewhere locally in your phone as the area has no cellphone signal. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideout. Aneka was the most hospitable and our hike on the Boy Scout Trail in the Jedediah Redwoods was great. The coast was amazing and not a far drive at all. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely book again. "

"This was a great place to stay for our girls trip! Bill and Linda were excellent hosts! They have wonderful life stories to share and we’re so welcoming to us. The house was perfect with an open bedroom upstairs and a smaller bed next to the laundry room downstairs. We spent most of our time exploring the area, but when we were at the house we enjoyed access to the beach just a few steps away. We highly recommend the benches just across the road, especially Eleanor’s! "

"You cannot beat this beachside house! The path to pebble beach was like three houses down the road, we walked down with our kids every day. It was awesome! The neighborhood is so cute, and close to grocery stores. The game room/garage was super fun, and I loved that there was accessible laundry after going to the beach! The only notes I have is that the house smelled a little musty, and the internet password was a little hard to figure out because it didn't exactly match the one written down....

"If you like to be off the grid, this is a great place to stay. We do this once a year and completely unplug from phones, computers, etc. This place was perfect for exactly that. It's remote and there's nothing better than the sound of a river. We had a total of 4 adults, 3 kids, and our 2 labs. Everyone had a wonderful time. It's a little bit of a walk to the river but once there, it's secluded and water is crystal clear. Thank you, Jim, for allowing us to stay at your place. "

"The space was exactly what we were looking for. Nestled in the redwoods secluded enough from everything but still close to all the adventures we wanted to go on. The space was beautiful and clean and exactly like the pictures. The host was very kind and communicated quickly. We’ll definitely be planning another trip to stay here! Can’t recommend enough!! "
