Wonderful Hosts
Gabi and Nicolas Philippou are fantastic hosts who live downstairs from both of the two bedroom one bath apartments. We stayed in apartment number 1. The kitchen is well appointed with a European sized fridge, a two ring stove, and an oven. The hosts had left fresh fruit, bread, orange juice, coffee, and homemade fig marmalade, so that we could have breakfast before going to the shops. Gabi (from Sweden) had also left a wonderful manual about the apartment and also local culture tips (Well worth a read). Also, Nicolas toured us around the apartment when we first came in and showed us how to use the special tap for drinking water and the television, heating, and of course the air conditioning (well needed in July and August). The owners were friendly, helpful, but not overbearing or intrusive. The pool is perfect on summer days or nights. The property is gated and secure with a one dog two cat security system (shout out to Puddy). The owners know the area and the local restaurants and the quickest way to the beach. Vardas Beach is very quaint, crystal clear salt water in a warm safe pool. The rip tides in Cyprus are well known and this is a really safe beautiful beach.
We really enjoyed this place and location. Gabi and Nicolas helped to make our vacation what it was.
