"This is a cracking flat within a short walk of Dumfries town centre. From the outside, the flats don’t look too inspiring, but it’s clearly been renovated recently and it’s been done really nicely. The two rooms are pretty much identical doubles, and the living room/kitchen is a good size. Nice views of the river from most rooms, and a lovely small balcony coming off the main living area. Would definitely come back if in the area."

"We had a lovely stay at Swallow Cottage. We had everything we needed and found the property to be comfortable and homely. We loved bird watching from the conservatory and had daily sightings of swallows, red kite and Goldfinches. Ideally situated for sightseeing with lots of opportunities to visit local areas of interest. Lots of options for takeouts, eating out and local shops. Owners were very friendly. "The location was as described. Across the street from a large grocery store and on a major route out of and into the city.
But the house itself was older, dark and could benefit from a deep extensive cleaning."

"Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before."

"After a communications issue I got the code and enjoyed our sunny happy space. Had a couple suggestions for owner who responded quickly. Frustrated with VRBO/Expedia for shirking responsibilities for fees and chose to blame owner. Poor customer service from the company but owner’s efficiency more than compensated for their failure."
