"We loved the house and the area. The house was good for my daughter who is a wheelchair user. It would have been perfect if there hadnt been a drawer below the sink. The beds were comfortable too."

"Absolutely loved this property. Very roomy and great location. Cosy and warm. Very pet friendly with secured garden. Views of bay are amazing. Easy access to beach and 5 minute walk. The only thing we wish it had was a cloths airer as weather can be unpredictable at times. Overall we had a great stay. "

"Beautiful lodge, nicely decorated and very clean and tidy. Lots of space within the lodge, great amenities for cooking etc and gorgeous views with sheep in the field across which was lovely. Check in process was super easy and communication with Nigel & Heather was great. This was our second time here (both different lodges) and we absolutely can not wait to come back. "

"The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!"

"Everything was walkable. Quite a few choices of cafes and restaurants. The people were very friendly. The suite was adorable. And if you like people watching, there is a park across the street that you can sit in your living room chair and watch life going on. Pete was very helpful and accessible. Thanks Pete."

"Cosy, well equipped cottage with a lovely view. Our elderly parents loved that they didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and they could get out for easy walks. With amenities just a few minutes drive away and local to wildlife viewing options this worked well for us. None of us were keen to leave."

"Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before."

"The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime."
