Beautiful log house in the Catskill Mountains with wood-burning fireplace, big open kitchen, vaulted ceilings, huge backyard..100% private. Surrounded by woods and gardens on a dead-end road with a stream down the road you can hear. Flat screen cable TV in 3 rooms! CELL PHONES WORK PERFECTLY!! Tons of gorgeous hiking, fishing, skiing, music venues, swimming, tubing, antique shopping, wonderful restaurants. Beyond peaceful. Garage is modestly renovated to serve as extra rec/game area.
There is a grill for your use.
There is a portable fire pit and also a beautiful stone fireplace indoors. Fans in every room, ceiling fan above king bed in master. Bed guards are available to use for toddlers and a booster seat, high chair , etc . Also have pet gate and kennel. Shandaken STR License # 2023-STR-AO-118.

Everything it’s described to be; quiet, private, well equipped, comfortably furnished. Cooking, grilling steaks, relaxing on the porch, enjoying coffee in the morning, building a fire in the fireplace in the evening, listening to the sound of a rushing stream below, really all we hoped for. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for such a quiet, secluded retreat. The proprietor was readily available with helpful advice. By all means, stop by Milgiorelli’s for fresh produce, homemade foods, fresh cuts of steak!

Charming and cozy and surrounded by trees!

We had a great weekend escape from NYC and enjoyed skiing during the day and enjoying the beautiful fireplace at night. The host was extremely attentive and responsive and made sure the driveway was properly cleared so we could get in and out. Charming decoration and very cozy vibe!

Cabin Getaway

Property is excellent and convenient to the main roads. The cabin has everything and then so. The host is super attentive and everything was beyond our expectations. Conveniently located near Belleayre , Hunter and Windham.

Rustic and elegant

The decor is a blend of rustic country items and elegant sparkly touches. It’s all about comfort and charm, practical amenities and luxurious details. It’s clean as a whistle. It’s set in the woods, gorgeous greenery everywhere. I’d love to return in the autumn.

Beautiful location and cabin

The location is secluded and gorgeous. The cabin is adorable and beautifully decorated. We brought our dogs and they loved the peaceful atmosphere. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch watching the rain and relaxing on the deck. The garage area was a bonus. Would love to stay again in the fall. Cute towns to visit. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to relax and unplug.

Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

A lovely property, serene and private but still close enough to town to be convenient; it made an excellent home base for exploring the local area. It is incredibly cozy and comfortable, especially after long outings. It's clean, well-maintained, and nicely presented. We're planning to recommend this place to friends in the future, and hope to someday come back ourselves.

Sweet, little cabin in the woods

The cabin has everything you need, you can hear the stream from the property. Central location, we went to Woodstock, Bethel Woods, Zoom Flume Water Park, a boat ride on the Hudson & Belleayre Mountain for a gondola ride with beautiful mountains views. My sister & I found a couple places on Esopus creek & waded in, my favorite part of our trip. All in all it was a great week. Don't forget to go out at night & star gaze, so beautiful! Thanks Therese!

A Family Getaway

My husband and I live in Northern Michigan, our grown children live in Brooklyn, and we had a big birthday to celebrate (my husband's)! We'd stayed in the Shandaken area before and loved it, and wanted to find a place that felt like it was in the middle of the woods while being convenient to everything we needed – and wanted – during our stay, from hiking to grocery shopping to dining out. The house was clean, comfortable, and very inviting. We all had a great time and would love to come back!

Beautiful property, but no good for summer

The property is charming. The land and cabin are beautiful. However, we stayed there in July, and with no air-conditioning, it was very hot and humid. Perhaps this cabin is good for winter or fall, but not for summer. Unfortunately, we also experienced a black ant problem. We had to put all dry opened foods in the refrigerator because the large black ants would get into the packages.

Cozy Cabin

Another wonderful stay at Theresa's cozy cabin. This was our first time coming for Memorial Day weekend and there were plenty of hiking trails and outdoor activities all of us. Great location. Great wifi. Dog crate in the garage was perfect for when we went to dinner and had to leave our pup behind.

Well-Maintained Cozy Cabin

The pictures of this property do not do this property justice. This house is well-maintained, cozy, and very cute. Much better than we expected. The communication with Therese was spot on and getting into the property was seamless. Not far from the heart of the town and has many outdoor adventures nearby if you are looking for that type of entertainment. We really enjoyed our short but relaxing visit! - Andrea & Andrew

Remote hide away

We were pleasantly surprised by our cabin in the woods. As stated by other reviewers, the pictures don't do it justice. We loved the little touches like community candles, spices and every pot and kitchen supply you might need. The only thing missing was batteries for the remotes. That's any easy oversight. Aside from that this was exactly what we were looking for for a 2 night get away. There were many interesting places to visit and eat that Google completely missed. Give this little gem a try
