Wahroonga On The Water

This large, modern, 2 story home features 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is centrally located on Kangaroo Island, only 2 kms from Kingscote. Situated on the edge of the calm waters of Napean Bay, with absolute beach frontage, it makes the perfect holiday home to relax, unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the island. The safe swimming beach on your doorstep also offers ample opportunities to explore and discover the amazing sea life.
Featuring uninterrupted sea views from most rooms of the house and also the added bonus of all queen sized bedrooms having beautiful sunrise views out over Nepean Bay. The large bi-fold doors on the lower level open, to let the outside in , extending the dining area and letting the cooling sea breezes flow through the house. A private balcony area upstairs offers a perfect retreat area to enjoy the view.
There is plenty of room for everyone, as there are lounge rooms located on both levels, which both include a home entertainment system which has a Chrome cast on it. Bedrooms and bathrooms are also located on both levels for your convenience, which also help to ensure adequate privacy.
Downstairs is an open plan design, with desperate sitting area and TV area Which has a Chrome caster on it, all have incredible views. Situated in the middle of the house is a modern well appointed kitchen that overlooks the dining and living areas. There are 2 Queen-sized bedrooms on this level, with the added bonus of a well stocked library area that includes DVD's, games and some toys to keep the younger ones entertained, there is something for everyone. To complete this level there is a bathroom and a separate laundry which also has access out onto a covered outdoor BBQ sitting area.
There are 3 bedrooms located upstairs, this includes a large master bedroom that takes advantage of the views up and down the coast. You can choose to relax and unwind . The upstairs lounge area is a great place to escape after a busy day and has direct access to the upstairs balcony. there is queen sized bedroom on this level and a large bedroom containing 2 bunk beds that sleeps 4. Upstairs there is a separate, toilet, bathroom and vanity area which helps when there are large numbers staying in the house.
Wahroonga On The Water is perfectly located in the center of the island, with easy access to walking/ bike track, it is only a short walk to Kingscote (KI's largest town) and the added bonus of the airport only 10 mins away. The choice is yours, you can swim, explore the island, go fishing, walk, read or choose to just relax and unwind in style.

Pretty damn good!

6 days, 4 couples and a single. Super amounts of crockery, cutlery, space, everything. The spa isn't functioning (we didn't care, but someone else might).

Great Location

Stayed with friends and the property had everything we needed for a short stay, only a walk into Kingscote and being located on the water it made for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

Great location...older home.

The house is very large and was great for our group of five adults. The jacuzzi tub in the master was not working but I'm not sure it was listed. The showers were a bit yucky (moldy?) on the edges. There was no detergent for the washer or dishwasher, or pods for the Nespresso (which was moldy and needed for us to give a deep clean before we could use it). I contacted the owner and supplies were brought the next day, which was great, although we had gone and bought some things we needed the first day ourselves. Being at the ocean was wonderful for evening strolls, star gazing and sunrises. It was great to have a large garage to pull into for shelter from the sun and unloading and loading. I would say the home needs a little more TLC than it is getting. With that said, we enjoyed the space and had a fabulous time on KI.

Fantastic family accommodation

Everything was absolutely wonderful at our accommodation. We only had one issue with the bottom tv not having "free to air" channels. Was hard for the "oldies" to get upstairs to watch the nightly news

3 nights in Kingscote

Amazing view, beautiful house, very well equipt, lovely location. We were two families of a total 10 pax and the house was perfect for such a large group. Only point to raise is the proximity to the neighbors. Would love to come back another time. Loved Kangaroo Island.

Great spot

Great space, enough room for the whole family. Good location and Dwayne was great to deal with.House needs some love; oven very dirty and sill was broken so hard to hold temperature. Spa bath also not in use, which we didnt know about until we arrived.Overall a nice place and we enjoyed our time.

Family Holiday in Kangaroo Island

Arrived at WOW, already with instructions on how to enter. All went smoothly. House was absolutely beautiful and the view spectacular. There was an area with games and books, and toys for kids. It looks to me that the house caters from babies through to aged. It really is a beautiful house with the best view.

Great location, great house, but

The house is lovely, well set out, nicely furnished, big picture windows, spacious and with 3 bathrooms, which is what we needed. Good location, near Kingscote, and right on the beach. Information for the house was hidden in the pantry, hand written instructions taped to the wall. A compendium on the kitchen bench would have been more professional and easier to find. I was disappointed to find that I could not use the spa, as it had a note on it saying that it leaks. The bbq area is on the side of the house, which feels quite disjointed, I guess for shelter, with adequate outdoor furniture. More outdoor chairs were stored in the garage. Unfortunately the outdoor furniture setting in the main kitchen/dining/living area was appalling. The table was worn and rusted, the chairs worn, ripped, dirty, encrusted with bird droppings. Totally unusable. The lawn was not cut, and our uncut grass was a stark contrast to the neatly cut grass of the neighbours. There was a considerable amount of weeds around the house both back and front in the pavers. Directions and signage could be improved as we had difficulty finding a lot number instead of a house number.

Perfect property for our stay. Our two families enjoyed the great views and spacious house. It is a short drive to town and has great access to all tourist sites around the island. Communication was excellent. We would highly recommend Wahroonga on the Water.

This property was an excellent choice for our 3-generation family group of 7 adults plus 2 children. Everything we needed was there. The website could use a little updating, particularly in relation to getting there - the property signage is only visible if coming from Brownlow direction rather than from Kingscote. Communication was good, augmented by many hand-written notes inside. we all enjoyed our stay

Huge house and really well set up in a great location

Location is great, house is huge with separate lounge areas and loads of bedrooms. Great view and super quiet location. Outside area could be tidied up for more practical use on the beach side but overall it is a well appointed house for use all year round and right on the coast of Kingscote! Would definitely go back. Wonderful location right on beach

2 couples for 4 nights- we Loved the spaciousness & location of this home. Linen & beds could be updated. We were shocked to discover we had accidentally almost caused a fire in the appliance cupboard (damage) and Dwayne was wonderful & understanding about the whole matter.
