"Lovely retreat with amazing views! Awesome pool over-looking a gorgeous serene lake and rolling countryside. Host went above and beyond in several areas from great communication to extra snacks, pool towels, games and more. The interior is thoughtfully decorated with many cute and cool touches throughout and feels like a true getaway house. The views are really where it’s at and there are many different areas to enjoy them! The host had binoculars and I many times found myself relaxing watching...

"Great house with plenty of space for our group. We loved being greeted by the cows across the road when we would return from our daily outings. House is quite aways from town so be prepared to drive. But that would not deter us from renting it again when in the area."

"My husband and I stayed here while visiting family and we loved it, the drive around the lake to get to it is beautiful, it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The added bonus was the host was fantastic. If you plan to spend time in this area I highly recommend this little place. "

"We loved staying in this beautiful secluded cottage. The views are incredible including the horses coming up the drive and even had a fox sighting which was neat. Communication with the owner was so easy and she was so kind offering to help find anything we might possibly need and stocking the fridge with a mixture of Coke products and water. If you’re looking for a reasonable beautiful peaceful location, this is it! Definitely will return!!!"

"This property was beautiful. The Cabin was wonderful! The little touches like fans on the porches , beautiful kitchen , beautiful bathroom and privacy and beauty of the property. If I had to find something negative I guess I would say it could use some curtains at least in the bathroom but I’m not complaining. Really look forward to another trip there. "

"We loved staying at this historical home away from home. The house is full of nice touches and antique furniture, large rooms and beautifully staged. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved the rural get away from it all location, yet is just 90 minutes from Lexington. Gwen was wonderful, very responsive and helpful. Very much a caring host. "
