"Our arrival was admittedly very late - 2.30am. TV in our room did not work at all. The 24 hr Receptionist could not communicate so unable to help about the TV. Breakfast was self service Toast/Strawberry Jam and Cereals. Staff hardly any spoke English.We had to leave very early so no experience of whether the Bar was open or not. Very poor quality hotel so will not ever stay there again."

"My stay was only three nights but it turned out to be like two separate stays. I was checked into a single room as requested and was initially delighted with it. But I then found that it coincided with football being shown on a large screen TV just yards away in the courtyard from my window, and that my room was next door to a gents toilet open to the visitors (ie public). "Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up"

"Very central, helpful owner, parking is possible very nearby, but not plentiful in a town with a street plan from the17th century. A large paid parking lot is 250 metres away. A DIY breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, and toast with many toppings, is in the fridge. Pull the cord to activate the shower."

"Just arrived home after a fabulous stay! What a truly glorious place to relax and unwind. The spa was lovely, the food was excellent, and every member of staff made our visit so special. A special thank you to David, Rob (Night Manager), Danny, and Andrew’s, who all went above and beyond to make my friend and me feel so welcome throughout our stay. "Nice hotel in quiet location with lovely outside area. One member of hotel staff unhelpful when we advised that the WiFi was unavailable. Good evening meal, breakfast offered a reasonable choice but cooked option wasn’t great. Good hotel for the money though."

"Our room was very very hot needs ac ,we was give a large fan but it was very loud. Shower pressure not great. When asked for ice as our water was warm was given minimum which melted very fast, in these hot conditions fridges should be provided. Overall the staff very polite & friendly beautiful building."

"The bed was very comfortable. When the new manager gets the showers updated and the rooms painted it will become excellent. The food was exellent and the staff were very attentive."

"Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes."
