"Le Royal is a hotel whose best days are probably behind it, but it still has plenty of charm. The lobby is very grand, and the room had good character and felt comfortable. I didn’t need much assistance from staff, but when I did interact with them they were helpful and pleasant. "well air conditioned, friendly staff. we left too early to try the breakfast, but they had a fairly roomy dining area so I expect it would have been decent. we got a free room upgrade since there were very few tourists at the time due to the conflict between Hamas/Israel at the time.
