Barn Loft with Mountain Views, minutes from Hanging Rock State Park

Enjoy an escape from the ordinary at Winsome View Farm - an active farm with beautiful views. This property is not handicap accessible and may be challenging for those with mobility issues due to stairs, DETACHED bathroom and uneven footing.

The main barn has evolved over the years from a tack room to a beautiful space to share with fellow lovers of nature. This two level barn features a kitchen area on the lower level with all you need for light cooking. The upstairs loft bedroom features a comfortable queen bed (2 adults), futon (1 small adult or 2 small children), recliner, Smart TV, closet, WiFi, and desk nook. The two levels are connected with a spacious deck offering views of Sauratown Mountain, Cook’s Wall and the hay fields. There is plenty of seating around the barn, around the fire pit, and indoors. The bathroom is adjacent to the barn (30 ft away - see bathroom details). The barn and bathroom have heat and AC for your comfort. We do not have a hot tub. It appears on the listing incorrectly. We no longer have horses on the property but our neighbor's horses may make an occasional appearance.

The kitchen is well stocked with essentials (refrigerator, freezer w/ice, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, blender, toaster, pots/pans, utensils, gas grill, crock pot, wraps, dishes, paper products). Everything you need for a campfire is provided (wood, starter materials, roasting skewers), just bring your s'more supplies.

Dogs are welcome! Please let us know ahead of time if you are brining your canine companions so we can prepare for your stay.

Take in all Stokes County has to offer! Hike, fish, swim, zipline, kayak, tube, explore and then relax at the farm.

Views were spectacular, and the weather was beautiful for our 5 days stay. This farm is in the most beautiful location for the mountain views. The barn loft is very clean and well prepared for your stay. They have thought of everything that you may need to make your stay an excellent one!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property. From the moment we arrived, it matched the listing perfectly. The views were beautiful, and we loved starting our mornings with coffee on the porch. The location was ideal, and the well-marked one-mile walking trail was a highlight — we even spotted a deer and plenty of birds to add to our birding app.Laurel was friendly, responsive, and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing Views

I stayed here with my son to celebrate my birthday. We needed a quiet and relaxing getaway and this was the perfect place to do that. I was really pleased with how clean and organized everything was. Also the views were AMAZING! Laurel was really nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful piece of land overlooking mountains and pastures. We were there to hike and found the location perfect! After a long hike we came back to gorgeous grounds- Easy to grill out with views on all side. Owner was easy to communicate with. We would stay here again :)

Dog friendly

Beautiful property. My dogs and grand kids had a great time running on the property. Very dog friendly. Laurel was a very responsive host. The futon was not comfortable to sleep on. If you are a couple traveling with pets and small children it is perfect!

Quiet mini vacation

Exactly as listed. We were trying to get away from the noise and parties for July 4th. There were fireworks but far enough away that our dog did ok inside. Lots of fields for playing and chasing fireflys. We had s’mores by the fire and enjoyed the views. No complaints . They had everything we could need there. It would be a beautiful place for a wedding or other event.

NC State Park family getaway!

Great couple try stay with all the amenities you can ask for within a short drive. Laurels place is fantastic for a small family along with their dog pals. Great sunrises in June over Cooks Wall and plenty of space to enjoy and adventure. Short drives to Hanging Rock and Pilot Mtn make this stay even better for nature loves to explore. 15/30 minute drives to all the best hikes you can ask for in the area.

Amazing Property!!!

We were so happy to stay in the property. You guys did an amazing job building and maintaining the house and ordering up the sunsets and sunrises for us. We will definitely be staying here again, when we visit the property.

Barn Loft Vacation

My husband and I had our beagle with us. She loved it as uch as we did. It's not for everybody as the bathroom is outside; however, it was perfect for us. We loved every minute. We enjoy the small-town life and ate at some local restaurants (not chains) and visited Hanging Rock, Pilot Mountain, Mount Airy and Danbury. It was like stepping back in time. We will definitely be booking this site again. The property manager was very nice. We met her the first day. She was working on maintaining the beauty of the property which is commendable since the property needed no beautification whatsoever in my opinion. Thank you, Laurel, for a wonderful vacation.

Peaceful Place to Relax

Enjoyed the property. The views of nearby mountains and the stars at night were great. Very quiet and peaceful, but not far from state parks and shopping/restaurants. Bed was especially comfortable.

Birthday Get-away

Beautiful place and wonderful time. Had all the amenities of home. Very comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed walking the property, having a fire each evening in the fire pit and coffee in the mornings out on one of the many places to sit outside. The hosts thought of everything to make it an enjoyable stay. Definitely look forward to coming back!
