Located 50 yards from the beach and home to several surf breaks, and an open shoreline, that is ideal for surf fishing and dolphin watching, this is the perfect spot to maximize your ocean paradise vacation. With two huge porches, you have a beautiful view over the Atlantic, with stunning views of both the sunrise and sunset. Relax and tan on the sun deck or go under to the covered deck to enjoy the breeze while lounging in the hammocks. Surrounded by restaurants with vegetarian options or fresh caught-catch straight out of the ocean, Kill Devil Hills has everything on the menu. Close to Avalon Fishing pier, Sea Scape Golf Links, and several public beach accesses, you’ve got plenty of options for fun in the sun.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time! Ample space for a family of 8. Clean, neat, and exactly as advertised. We had a broken bed and the hot tub wasn't working. They were both fixed within 24 hours by friendly professionals.

Great location

The house was centrally located within good eating restaurants, souvenir shops and awesome access to the beach. The house was very clean and great accommodations for our entire family. My only recommendations would be to include the beddings and towels in the original price, not to add an additional charge.

The Best Vacation!

We had a very pleasant and fun-filled stay at Cleared to Land. The house was so amazing and beautiful. We got to go to the beach almost every day. Being able to have the beach umbrella, chairs and cart made the beach days possible and the most enjoyable vacation we have ever had! We got to try new places to eat that are close to the house. We did not have any bad food experience. Cleared to Land gets 5 Stars from us! We will be returning in the future. Our annual family trip is to the OBX! Looking so forward to next year!

Excellent location

Beach access was close. Beach toys were great especially the cart. Kitchen utensils were new and sufficient. Only "Knock" was the neighbor in the green house behind us has two dogs that barked/wined all night. There should be a dog ordinance.

Vacation 2022

The house was really well kept for the age of the property. We loved that it had 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. Even though we were about a half block back from the beach we still had a view of the ocean.

It went so fast!

We had so much fun. We were very close to the ocean. I loved the view from the living room window. My husband loved sitting in the screened porch. The kids had their own floor and bathrooms. Everyone was happy!

Worst vacation ever. Less than 1 star

Beach Realty manages this property VRBO only lists it. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. We had to stay home for the 4 out of 6 days we were there to wait for repair people. There was a dirty bed and no AC on the 3rd floor. They offered no compensation for this. The homeowner gave us back a small amount but the property managers who were at fault refused to refund us anything. Stay away from Beach realty.

Short walk to beach

Check in/out process was very easy. House was very clean upon arriving. I saw some previous reviews about some lighting issues and thought they would have been resolved by the time of my trip but that was not the case. Although this didn’t ruin our time. Very short walk to the beach with kids. We did have a guy show up trying to get access to the house for an air conditioner inspection as we were on the way out one day. It was supposed to be communicated to us previously but wasn’t. We didn’t want to hinder anything but also didn’t want to cancel our plans to accommodate since he couldn’t even tell us how much time they needed. We also thought it could be a scam since we had no idea. Made us uncomfortable when the technician said he could call the realty company and gain access anyway which we weren’t ok with since all of our possessions were inside. The rental company called and threatened to turn the breaker off for the ac since we wouldn’t give access to the house. This was the only downfall of the whole trip.

Cleared To Land was perfect!

This house was cozy with all of the necessities in place. Very convenient to everything. 2 minute walk to the beach. Very comfortable for our Family of 8 with plenty of room to spread out. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house, terrible run away right now rental company

I want to be very clear, the house itself was wonderful. Very clean, quiet, great location, plenty of room and had everything we needed. The only issues with house was lack of inspection, 8 light bulbs were burned out + 2 fans not working. We were unable to sit on the screened in porch at night or use the hot tub because all lights were out, Hallway light up dark stairs burned out so every night we used cellphones to find way upstairs/downstairs. Dozens of light switches and nothing labeled. The rental company "Beach reality NC" was garbage. Single most difficult process I'v ever encountered. Worst was the spam. I received 49 emails from booking to check out - all related to stay. I'm sure hundreds more would have come from marketing if I didn't unsubscribe. They wanted you to download an app and hunt through page after page just to be given the address of property. Used webpage which did not allow check in but had maybe a dozen side tabs with incomplete or outdated information once I figure out how to log in using a code buried in email a week earlier. Only way I could check in was to call. Had to wait on hold for 9 mins. It was so bad they even emailed me TWICE during vacation to say trash day was the following day. Different days from webpate. Why can't you send 1 email with address, trash days, wifi, check in dates, and number if you have a problem. I attempted to call the main office multiple times and could not get a hold of anyone. I'm talking about a tuesday morning, not a weekend night. I couldn't even check out, I had to leave a message on voicemail which was never returned. I'd love to rent this house again, but if Beach Reality NC is involved I'll avoid.

Great place in a great location and property mgmt was exceptional.

Our family had a great time at this house. It was a perfect size for 8 of us and close to the beach. There were plenty of dishes and pans and even 2 refrigerators. There were plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, a perfect beach wagon and boogie boards. Beautiful views from the top main floor. Quiet street too. The hot tub was nice addition. The property management company was very responsive and fixed all the issues with the house within 1 day.

Pros and cons

The house is nice and well stocked. I was not expecting to have to cross a very busy road to get to the beach. The listing was somewhat deceptive about that. I signed up for early check in and received email confirmation only to find that the code was not activated and was unable to get through to the property manager.
