We welcome you to "Ohana Paradise," a place where time stops and you hear the ocean from your home away from home. You can walk down from your unit in less than 100 steps to the sandy shoreline, which goes for 2.5 miles from Ma'alea to North Kihei. The soft sand and offshore winds make it perfect for taking a relaxing stroll or jogging.

The Ohana Paradise unit is 1 bedroom and one bathroom that sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. The unit is bright, breezy, where you can hear the ocean waves from the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and lanai. Looking for a place to enjoy all the local scenery or venture far off to Hana or Haleakala, the Sugar Beach Resort is centrally located and within a short drive to the airport, Lahaina Front Street, Wailea, Makena,

Maui is a special place because of the aloha and ohana spirit. You can truly come here to rest and relax. If you choose to venture off for the day, there are many things to do in Maui, from nature activities in the forest, Hana, sunrise, or sunset on Haleakala (10,223 feet). You are surrounded by unimaginable magnificence from the ocean to the mountains. There is so much culture wherever you go. They are truly unique, and no other place has sunsets like these.

This unit provides you with all the amenities to rest and relax indoors or outdoors. Just a few steps away from the sandy shoreline, soft white sand, and clear waters, you can enjoy the heated pool, spa, or sauna. The kitchen is well equipped to support any adventure or activity. BBQs are on the beach, where you can enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. The bedroom has a king-size bed and ample closet and drawer space. The bathroom is well stocked with bath and beach towels and a separate bathroom vanity to fit all your essential items. At the end of the day, if you want to wash your clothes, the condo has a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The "lanai," also known as the balcony, is a perfect place to enjoy wine or dinner while taking in the ocean views. If you prefer to stay indoors, the condo provides central AC for comfort.

The Sugar Beach Resort is well-maintained and provides many opportunities to make memories. The condo is well managed and offers 24-hour support if needed. Complimentary parking is included in your stay.

This condo is fully furnished with Wi-Fi, SmartTV, and a fully equipped kitchen, stove, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, blender, coffee maker, central air conditioning, and washer/dryer. All guests need to stop by the Front Desk to register and receive a parking permit and pool access code. We have keyless entry.

The Resort also has an activity planning desk, beach rental center, a massage/spa, and a bar/sandwich shop. Take a 5-minute drive to Sugar Beach Bake Shop for fresh-brewed Hawaiian OMA coffee or decadent malasadas. Next to the bakery, you'll find the best shave ice at Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice (Kihei location).

Enjoy the beautiful pool, jacuzzi, or sauna surrounded by tropical trees. A great swimming beach and grass area are also available for you to relax and enjoy the lush landscape and ocean breeze. Lounge chairs and beach towels are available for your use.

The condo and amenities were great! Waking up to the waves splashing, swimming in the well maintained pool and watching the sunsets from our lanai made our vacation so special. The unit is conveniently located so that was easy to get to all areas of the island to sighted!

This was the perfect place for a relaxing get away. The condo was fully stocked with every kitchen appliance, dishes, silverware, even a water pitcher with filter. The bathroom had plenty of towels, plus a cloth to remove makeup, blow dryer, plus some (life-saving!) shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The bed was a little on the soft side, but we slept well. There were plenty of pillows as well as extras in the bedroom closet. Extra linens were available. There were some fun extras like pool noodles in the bedroom closet, sand castle making toys on the lanai, and a small cooler with ice packs to help make the most of out of our stay. The condo was also stocked with detergent to wash dishes and laundry, and dryer sheets. So thoughtful. We loved staying here where we had direct view of the ocean, with plenty of loungers facing the ocean and at the pool. The beach was not crowded at all, which was such a treat. We were able to save some money (and increase time spent swimming) by using the kitchen for one or two meals a day, which was great. The only thing I suggest is that light sleepers bring earplugs - the doors to the condo above (or next door?) start to open and close (and open, and close, and open) as soon as the sun starts to come up, and it can be VERY loud. If you plan to get up early every day of your trip though, this probably won't bug you at all. Overall, we would stay here again in an instant!

Our stay was good. The accommodations were nice and centrally located. The pool and hot tub was closed while we were there, that was disappointing but we had the beach and ocean. We don’t spend much time at condo so it was ok. However I wish I would have known. We never received our check in info and door code. The office was very helpful and friendly and were able to get that info for us. Other than that our stay was amazing.

We had a wonderful time, the condo is very cozy and comfortable…it had everything you needed and an absolute wonderful view. It was directly on the beach and had wonderful views of the sunset. You could go out the front door and a wonderful view of sunrise as well! Very convenient to stores, shops. we loved staying there and the check in/checkout process was a breeze. I would highly recommend !!

Outdated unit

The unit seemed old and outdated. Some things were not working like outlets and a broken luggage rack. We like the location that was close to Sugar Beach. Amenities such as pool and covered parking was great.

10 Days in Kihei

Overall impression is good, but there were 4 negatives:1. The tile in the bathroom, especially the shower floor, was grungy with black in the grout, probably with 40 years of use that could no longer be properly cleaned.2. The ocean in that area was not as clear and blue as other areas on Maui. Very few people swam or surfed along this stretch.3. Very windy area -- much more windy than other parts of Maui.4. No restaurants or shops within easy walking distance, except for an ABC store and one nice bakery/coffee shop about 1/4 mile or so away. Everything else was several miles away.

Wonderful condo, property, location!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Resort was well maintained, clean, and safe, with an office and actual guest services! The beach is long, in both directions. We’d walk every morning, watch the sunset every night. Condo had everything we needed. There was even soap, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner for over the 2 weeks we stayed. Wow!! It’s just above the koi pond & pool so that was nice to look down upon. Love that they have aerobics/lap hours early before the crowds. The deck was spacious! Don’t forget to pack your binoculars especially if going in Winter/Spring! Every morning we would keep an eye out for the humpbacks, and EVERY MORNING we would see them! There were even a few days when they were JUST off the shore! Kayakers and paddle boarders would stop where they were and whales would cruise on by. Tip - if your neighbors across the way start yelling, they’re seeing whales you can’t, so run down to the beach because you’re going to get a show! Condo manager Larisa was quick to return texts and extremely helpful and nice. Had wonderful messages with owner who is so very lovely. Can’t recommend this condo enough. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Excellent view and property

This location was excellent for enjoying the day on the lanai or watching sunset. Has the feel of a resort versus other condos we have stayed at. Has a very nice pool area with nice hot tub and just a stones throw to walking on the beach. Would definitely recommend this unit. Only issue was beach chairs and umbrella was old and broken and had to call the host, she brought new ones down the following day but should be checked prior to guests arriving. Overall I would definitely recommend this location as a great place to stay.
