A Piece Of Paradise!



  • Unit 231 which is in the Plumeria building offers stunning ocean, island, sunset and mountain views from the living areas as well as the bedroom! You won't find ocean views from the bedroom in many Kihei properties. The unit is on the second floor and the closest one bedroom unit to the water. Wake up to the sounds of the birds and the view of the ocean (100 yards away).

    This unit was remodeled in March of 2018.

    The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pans and small appliances that you will need to cook with. There are 5 gas barbeques located in the courtyard/common area adjacent the pool area. Enjoy a barbeque while watching the sunset! This is an extremely friendly complex.

    Kauhale Makai ~ 'Village by the Sea' is located in the Quiet end of sunny North Kihei, a 20 minute drive from the airport and minutes to Maui's best beaches, restaurants, golf, shopping and other attractions.

Sue's Paradise

This property is close to many local beaches, shops and is an easy drive from the airport. The condo has a well-equipped kitchen, comfy furniture and lovely sunsets. We would love to stay here again.

Kihei Stay

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Short drive to restaurants and shopping in Kihei. Easy access to the beach for those morning walks. A/C worked great and kept us comfortable. Would stay here again on our next Maui trip.

Great location in Kihei, easy access to beaches, restaurants, grocery stores. Comfortable, clean condo. Sue is a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beautiful Condo in Kihei

Our experience at Sue’s condo was excellent! The check-in process was smooth, the condo was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the view was beautiful! Also the location is very central, with shops and beautiful beaches close by. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re planning a trip to Maui.

Exactly as advertised! Good location in a quiet, comfortable complex in Kehei. Convenient to pretty much everything in island. Small beach area a short distance across the lawn felt almost private. Loved the hot tub and pool!

Nice Location for a Short Honeymoon

Very comfortable second floor location with an ocean view from the lanai. We stayed Friday through Wednesday and really enjoyed the easy "walk to the beach" access without having to cross any roads. It was quiet and we loved that it was just a few blocks north of the main part of Kihei and plenty of eating, shopping, and activities. Everything from church to Mama's Fishhouse to a Luau at the Marriott were easily accessible with a short drive. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Excellent Condo

Sue was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. Property was very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the beach. Few minute drive for snorkeling, surfing and biking needs. Sugar Beach Bakery is awesome. Tony at Maui Sunriders Bike Shop was super great to work with. Mahalo!

Wonderful condo in Kihei

My wife and I on our 25th wedding anniversary. We have stayed at the village by the sea on many occasions as we love the facilities and the location. This condominium was exceptionally well stocked with everything a guest could need for a two week stay. Great view and a great location within walking distance of turtles just up the beach and we would definitely stay at this condominium again. Thank you so much, Sue!

Paradise In Maui

Had an absolutely perfect vacation stay at Sue’s condo in Kihei! Great convenient location on the south side of Maui with beautiful walkable beaches, crystal clear water and stunning sunsets. We played tennis, biked, ran and swam every day. Fully stocked kitchen was perfect for dining in and saving lots of money. Supermarkets only a mile away. Bed was very comfortable and the condo was super quiet at night. We highly recommend!

Sue’s paradise

This one bedroom apartment is located on the ocean side of the road close to all conveniences in Kihei pool and hot tub were working the whole time. Condo is properly stocked with all kitchen items needed as well as beach chairs, snorkel gear and umbrella for daily trips to the beach. It is on the second floor and the elevators are in the building.

Summer getaway

Wonderful beach access to watch sunsets, play in the water and walk to see turtles. Bus stop close by was nice the first couple of days to get familiar with the island. We decided it was more conveniet to rent a car. It was nice to have laundry rooms on the building. The host provides a very informative book and also kept in contact as we learned of a possible major tropical storm. It, fortunately, didn't happen, but we were informed and prepared.

This was a really nice one-bedroom, one-bath condo on the second floor with a view of the ocean out the sliding glass window and lanai. Perfect spot for viewing sunsets, at least this time of year (January). One can also see part of the top of Haleakala (extinct volcano) from the lanai if it's not too cloudy. The kitchen is well equipped with just about everything one would need. The beach was maybe one hundred yards away from the complex and the walk to the beach was through a nice, grassy area with beautiful palm trees around and a nice view of the northwest mountains. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone wanting to stay on Maui. The unit owner was very nice and pleasant to work with. Thank you!

Gorgeous Accommodations Close to Everything

Sue was an excellent host and I would highly recommend her apartment. The views from our balcony were gorgeous. A short walk across the property leads to a small beach where you could see magnificent sunsets. Although the beach was not recommended for swimming, we saw people swimming there and they seem to be doing fine. We also really enjoyed being able to get into the pool and the hot tub which were meticulously maintained. I absolutely would recommend renting a car to take short trips to see sites around the island. Sue left a book of recommendations, and we enjoyed the beaches that she directed us to. All the equipment we needed was provided. I would definitely recommend Sue’s apartment and will even look forward to making another trip there in the future.
