Brilliant apartment in a brilliant location close to all Keswick local amenities and only a 10 minute walk to the lake and 5 minutes to fitz park! We stayed with our 2 year old and there was plenty of space within the apartment for us all, the parking space is also a fantastic addition! The only issues we had were a few broken items that could do with refreshing within the apartment (including the kitchen bin and key fob) and also the wifi didn’t work from Wednesday onwards so we had little connectivity for the holiday (not sure if this was an issue with the apartment of the provider), however none of these issues would put us off booking again and we would highly recommend to others!

We had an absolutely superb stay in The Old Laundry 1 and in these current times of COVID-19 we cannot praise it highly enough in terms of cleanliness. To say it was spotless is an understatement. The added Christmas tree was a lovely touch too. We felt very much at home in the apartment...and it’s location in a quiet street is blessedly peaceful, yet close to the town centre...a very short and easy walk. An excellent week’s holiday. We can’t wait to return!

Had a lovely Christmas break at the Old Laundry.
Everything was absolutely spot on.
A beautifully appointed apartment with all the facilities you need.
An easy 5 minute walk to all the attractions of Keswick town centre.
We had a beautiful Christmas Day lunch at the Kings Arms and good food at the George Hotel.
Highly recommended The Thyme Bistro where Wendy and her Hubby Chef made us more than welcome - fabulous Italian food and great service.
Thank you to everyone connected with our break - could not have been better.

Our 5th stay at this property.
Our 5th stay at this property... we like it that much!
The property was spotlessly clean on arrival which is much appreciated.
Very central location with designated, secure parking big enough for our mid-size 4*4.
2 minute walk to the market-place, pubs and restaurants.
Well equipped kitchen with everything you need and a separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer (a big plus when the weather is not so good on the fells)
Decent shower and living quarters.
My only gripe is that the bed in the master bedroom could be upgraded to a kingsize.. there is plenty of room and after a hard day's hiking a bit more comfort for the night's rest would make the property perfect in my opinion.

Another excellent visit to the old laundry nothing has changed and it is as good as ever.
Another excellent visit to the old laundry nothing has changed and it is as good as ever. From the off road parking to the central location you will not find a better apartment to stay in central Keswick. As I mentioned in my last review a basic Sky TV package would be a godsend for those wet and windy nights in but other than that there is nothing I can think of as an improvement.

The Old Laundry is ideally located just outside the centre of Keswick but only 4 or 5 minutes walk
The Old Laundry is ideally located just outside the centre of Keswick but only 4 or 5 minutes walk from shops and restaurants. In fact here is a SPAR general store just across the road. It is located on the first and second floor of the building with a disabled lift access to the first floor. It has a garage for one car on the ground floor which is a big plus in Keswick where on-street parking is at a premium.
The property has a small private balcony which previous visitors have described as a sun trap. Unfortunately we did not see much sun during our week.
Keswick is ideally situated for touring the Northern part of the Lake District.
