Most beautiful place I have ever stayed!

It was the perfect place for my family! Watching the kids run around made my heart sing. Pool was perfect, and very needed as it was extremely hot. Took a half day boat ride, and had a dinner made for us by Claire and it was wonderful! All the beautiful courtyards and outdoor dining was everything I hoped for!

Gozo mit Freunden

War ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Zentrale Lage, parken vor dem Haus gut möglich. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Hof, Garten und Pool sind super, um gemeinsam eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Die Mücken im Garten waren nervig, doch mit autanspray aus dem lokalen Supermarkt ließ sich auch dieses Problem lösen. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Great place for a half term family break

We had a lovely holiday here - the property was just right and the garden and pool wonderful. We had great weather, amazing for the end of October. We liked the location in Kercem with shops and a bar close by (having said that Gozo is a small island and it was possible top walk into Victoria or even to the coast) Georgia was very helpful and sorted out our one problem when the internet went down. We hired Claire to cook a meal for us all which was really good and recommended.

Family making happy memories

We were a group of 11, ages 5 to 75, after a 2 year wait due to covid we finally made it to Gozo! The villa is lovely and well appointed, we particularly enjoyed the big pool, and the lovely long dining table which we shared many meals on by the bbq area, although the mozzies were a bit of a nuisance at times. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby, and we made good use of the little pub across the road, good for takeaway pizza. Its a very quiet neighbourhood but friendly. A 15-20 minute walk to Victoria, some walked to Xlendi bay but that was only a short drive. Ideal if you want to spend quality time together. 2bedrooms on the top floor are adjoining which was ideal for my daughter and small grandson, all have double if not bigger beds, 2 on the ground floor. Nice views from the rooftop, some patio furniture might have been nice, but it was very hot when we went so shade would be essential. The housekeeper was very friendly and came on time and gave clear guidance about everything too which was appreciated. A lovely holiday was had by all, I asked my grandson what was the best thing about his holiday and he said 'everything', I have to agree with him!

Wonderful villa with excellent accommodation

Owner was excellent at communicating, even during the pandemic. The property has excellent bedrooms, and a great pool. Parking is easy on the street outside, and Victoria is an comfortable 10-15 minute walk. Highly recommended for large groups (we were 8 adults, 2 children and 2 babies)

Beautiful and idyllic site!

Everything was so smooth here. This property looks even better than online. Beautiful place to gather with family, quiet neighborhood. Everything handled well by Georgia (housekeeper); highly recommend Claire for chef services! We didn’t want to leave.

What a picturesque location.

Despite a lengthy trip for our family coming from half way around the world, our arrival at Casa Mezzodi made the travel hassles disappear instantly. Nearly every aspect of the estate was instagram worthy. Loved the neighborhood, people, and the beauty that Gozo/Malta offer. Highly recommend and already have!

Great Gozo Property

We had a wonderful week as Casa Mezzodi. Beautifully renovated and very comfortable. Georgia couldn’t have been more helpful and we loved Kercem and Gozo. Claire Borg was a wonderful cook. Absolutely loved our week.

Suggested improvements at Kercem

1/. The cast iron door handles are too heavy for the catch mechanism and some doors are difficult to keep shut. 2/. Notices above toilets should consider children of visitors. The wording could say ‘toilet paper only, other materials in bin please, rather than tampons etc. 3/. Instructions on using the washing machine and oven would be very helpful. 4/. A larger safe is needed. 5/. A microwave would be most useful.

Wunderschöne Tage

Ein wirklich toller Ort und ein authentisches Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und 1 Kind - ideal auch für 8-10 Personen. Claire hat uns 2mal bekocht - sehr empfehlenswert!

Lovely house located centrally in Gozo. Big house which was perfect for us. Very comfortable beds.

We had a lovely week in the house. Plenty of space for all 11 of us. Central location. Kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms all perfect. A proper wooden cot and a high chair were provided which was a lovely touch. Good BBQ outside. Georgia the housekeeper was very helpful. We had a great week thank you. Only 2 things I would change is there is no comfortable outside seating and we had a few problems with the pool where we couldn’t open our eyes under water and the children’s hair now feels like rubber (very strange).

Fabulous retreat

We were travelling from the Uk and Australia for a family get together. The house was so comfortable and peaceful. The bedrooms and en-suites we’re spacious , clean and very luxurious. They were also air conditioned which was absolutely necessary in the summer heat. The outdoor spaces were plentiful and the pool was a welcome retreat after a hot day sightseeing. We loved the BBQ area for long lazy evening dinners. The kitchen is really user friendly with a great collection of equipment. We were 11 adults and never ran out of anything. The house is located just outside of Victoria so we could easily walk 20 minutes into the Citadel, or town or you can navigate the maze of streets to some great swim spots and lovely restaurants. We have all loved our stay .

absolute perfection

The description of Caza Mezzodi is totally accurate. Luxurious, grand, abundant lemon trees, rose arches and an immaculate swimming pool. not only is the house beautifully decorated but spotlessly clean. we were 9 ladies all showering at the same time in the well fitted ensuite bathrooms and never once ran out of hot water! Georgiana, the caretaker/housekeeper is a treasure. Take advantage of paying her to come in each day. Also ask the owner for Claire Borg's contact details, a private chef who will come to you and serve the most delicious meals in the garden or house. quality abounded from towels to kitchen knives. Stay here if you can.

Lovely villa with rustic charm

We really enjoyed our stay Casa Mezzodi a villa with real rustic charm but with all mod cons needed for a mixed age group. Finding ourselves there in the midst of Kercem festival week was an added bonus.

Wonderful, just perfect for family, friends & kids

Casa Mezzodi and Gozo are the perfect location for holidaying with family and friends and Alex, Rachel and Georgia (the housekeeper) provided excellent support up to and during our stay. Casa Mezzodi's central location in Kercem, just a short walk to Victora, its layout and facilities, were absolutely spot-on as agreed by all of my friends and their kids without exception. Over the last few days I've heard the phrase 'best holiday ever' many times and I have to give the owners of Casa Mezzodi a great deal of credit for that. I myself could find it difficult to stay in Malta in the future rather than Gozo, when I now know what could be waiting for me a short ferry journey away. It was so great to have Claire Borg (chef) visit & cook for us a couple of times, her food was a great reflection of Gozitan art, and while we weren't able to clear our plates as well as we were told the Maltese/Gozitans do, all of the leftovers were carefully stored and happily polished off the next day. We had a little accident towards the end of the holiday when a friend badly twisted her ankle, but we were happy to see how brilliant and professional the folks at the Gozo General Hospital A&E Dept were in helping us out. Future visitors to Gozo should be reassured of this fact. All in all, a perfect stay. Nothing could have been better.

Fabulous House and Gardens

The house, courtyard and pool area is exactly as it is depicted in the photos, absolutely stunning and extremely well equipped. The house was spotless, and maintained a pleasant temperature inside despite it being extremely hot. Easy 10 minute walk to Victoria for a good choice of restaurants and a short drive to anywhere on the island. We were a party of 12 and there was more than enough space for us all to spread out and find some quiet areas. The whole experience from booking through to checking in and out all went smoothly and finally we'd certainly recommend this place for any small party who'd like a great central base to explore Gozo.

Great house for family's

We stayed in this house with 8 adults and 7 children. Everyone enjoyed it a lot. Great rooms, kitchen, location and cleaning. Everything is really convenient for big company's. The caretaker and the owner is really helpful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful! Highly recommend.

I almost don't want to share how good this place is, because I want to keep it a secret for myself!! It's truly stunning. We stayed for a week with 12 adults and 1 infant for our wedding, we couldn't have hoped for a more magical place to stay. Our guests were literally speechless when we arrived! To start with, the location is ideal. It's in a quiet hamlet of Kercem with 2 supermarkets and a bakery in walking distance. Victoria is less than 1 mile, we walked there - it took about 15 mins, but we also hired cars so we could get around the island. There is plenty of on road parking. The bedrooms are beautiful, with French style furniture, the beds are huge and so comfortable - even the bed linen is good quality! The kitchen is well equipped with additional fridge space in the pantry and a dishwasher and washing machine. The outside dining/BBQ area is just magical!! The pool is clean, the sunbeds are comfortable. The roof terrace gives wonderful views, especially at night when all the churches are lit. We had Claire Borg (private chef) to cook for us one night, which I highly recommend. The food was delicious and Claire is so friendly and accommodating!! And it was great to be able to eat at the villa and not have to wash up!! The description of the villa provided on the website is 100% accurate (although it's more beautiful than described!). I spoke to a couple of locals who know the owner, he has a great reputation for fitting out quality villas and constantly re-investing in them, which I understand is quiet rare in Gozo. The villa is clean, new, well maintained and well equipped. Alex the owner was delightful - so helpful, quick at responding to emails. The island of Gozo is beautiful, easy to get around, all the locals speak English and are so friendly, very relaxed! Places I recommend to see - The Citadel (walled city), the Azure Window (at sunset). We visited the spa at Ta Cenc. Restaurants I recommend: Il Kantra (Ta Cenc), Ta Philip (Harbour), The Boat House (Xlendi). The food throughout Gozo is delicious!! We will be returning as soon as we can!
