"My husband and I were visiting Plainfield on a business trip and absolutely adored staying at the Plainfield Inn. The location was continently located and we were able to easily walk to all the lovely local restaurants and coffee shops in downtown Plainfield. For such a historic building it is very well maintained, and we enjoyed the updated modern amenities (mini fridge, microwave, and spacious shower). I would highly recommend the inn for your stay in Plainfield!"

"The air conditioning was in adequate for the size of the suite. When checking out I rang the bell at the main desk and no one appeared. I went down for breakfast 15 minutes before closing and there were very few if any at all choices while the staff sat a table waiting to clean up."

"I've been going to this hotel for years, whenever I'm in town. I can definitely tell there has been a change in management. The former manager Brenda ran a tight ship. The hotel was so clean it sparkled, the service was amazing....I mean Brenda hasn't been there in years and not only did she introduce herself to us but i still know her name. This hotel is still good. I will continue to stay there when I'm in town. The rooms are still clean. The pool is broken. One of the elevators is broken....

"We specifically booked this hotel for the pool & hot tub for us and our kiddo. The hot tib was lukewarm the first day, then literally scalding, dangerously hot, the next. Both days, the staff put chemicals in the pool in the morning so the first half of both days it was not accessible. By the time we could use it on the last day, we had to check out. Why not treat the pool at night when it closes? Nevermind the fact most things were filthy, and our door was unlocked and ajar upon arrival. Super...

"The staff were wonderful, except that hot food for the breakfast was not available until nearly 7 a.m. (posted breakfast times were 6-9 a.m.). Biggest problem was just the noise. Listened to insterstate traffic all night, and the conversation in the room next door as well as in the hall. Not yelling, not partying, but voices went right through the connecting door as though it was open. Good earplugs solved this."
