"Not a great property or staff. Surprised Holiday Inn would have their name associated with this old and unclean hotel. We only last about 20 minutes before my daughter had allergic reaction to something in the air. Left and struggled to get a manager on the phone to get our money back. Stayed at another hotel in the area for our visit without issue"

"My opinion is that this is a hotel with great bones. It is structurally really cool, and it is in a great location for walking to Royals or Chiefs games. The staff were very friendly. But, my room was not clean. Stains on the furniture, hair on my pillow. The TV didnt really work well. Overall, I feel like this is a great building being run by management that is cutting corners. They could do better. "

"I stayed here two nights and it was super comfortable. I lived in a provided bathrobe basically the entire time I was on the property. It’s definitely quiet and for quiet guests as it’s an older property. I really enjoyed the charm and especially the proximity to the Nelson Atkins museum. My room had an adorable wood burning fireplace that is available for guest use but I opted for the radiator space heater that was in the closet. I was travelling alone and I mostly kept to myself but there...

"hotel staff went above and beyond with great service. from a free bottle of wine delivered to our room to the restaurant giving us an apple to staff bringing toothpaste to our room. when i left a hairbrush in the room, they had it in the lobby in less than 15 mins. from checkout so that I didn't end up going home without it. they were wonderful! we plan to be back."

"The parking was really easy and free! It was very easy to communicate with our hosts and they responded to everything we needed. It was a comfortable room and quiet. I wish our room hadn't been right outside the coffee making machine but it ended up that there was plenty of privacy. The location was perfect. "

"Clean room. Walls are a bit paper thin. You could hear clear conversations of folks out in thr halls. Gym was suffice, a bit stuffy. Location is great to walk to the Plaza restaurants. Highly recommend ARs brunch. Parking felt safe. Staff very hospitable. "

"Fantastic staff that appeared to actually like if not love each other. Added to the charm of this part of America that loves BBq, my least favorite food in the world. The hotel bar had the best soup and salad that I had in town. It was made onsite in a small kitchen with an even smaller, yet surprisingly welcome bar. Everyone felt like new friends for a one time awesome occasion "

"Our room was dirty. There was trash in the room the bed had hair all over it. I paid extra to get the breakfast and didn’t even get to get any the 3 days we stayed. I left the staff know about the room and told them we’d be gone for a little bit so that way they could go in there they didn’t "
