Newly renovated air-conditioned studio in a gated community near Kona

This lovely newly renovated studio has a bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom and a living space with a kitchenette that includes a microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine and refrigerator. The kitchenette has plates, cups and cutlery, but cooking is not allowed.

There is a washer/dryer in a shared space with other tenants.

There's a small front garden with a beautiful ocean view.

The studio is part of a private home owned by your host, Avi.

Located in the 24x7 security gated community of Keauhou Estates, it is a short drive from downtown Kona and many wonderful beaches.

Nestled between palm trees in a quiet neighborhood with a wonderful ocean view, this unit is a great starting point for many activities: surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, or just going to one of the many great beaches on the island.

The location offers easy access to many places:
- 5 minutes away from the Keauhou shopping center with a KTA store, CVS/Longs Drugs, and several restaurants
- 15 minutes away from downtown Kona that offers shopping, eating and other activities
- 25 minutes away from Two Step - one of the world's best snorkeling places
- 15-45 minutes away from some of the best beaches on the island, north or south

Avi and his wife Orna have truly been amazing hosts! We could have not been more grateful to stay at their place. When we arrived in Kona, unfortunately we had some mishaps with getting dinner before check in as we landed late and the place we chose was closing early. Upon knowing this, Avi and Orna were so kind to make us a simple, yet fulfilling plate of avocado toast and fruit/snacks. Second, when we had to pick up our rental car the next day, Avi kindly offered to drive us to enterprise. I appreciate that he would also invite us for morning coffee inside his house. Location wise, it was the perfect spot near downtown and other areas to visit in the big island. The views of our place were especially beautiful. For the price, it was definitely more affordable than hotels and parking was easy for our rental car. Avi also provided stuff that we could use for beach activities such as boogie boards, ice cooler, beach chairs, towels, and even bug spray/sun care spray/first aid if needed. Although we shared their guest house, we still felt like it was our own private home. Avi also had great communication in the app, especially when he updated us that a wildfire could affect a highway going home when we were in Hilo. It was our first time using Vrbo, and I surely will look again for any future travel accommodations. If I ever come back to the big island, I will definitely book with Avi again! I highly recommend their hospitality as they made our Hawaii trip super memorable.

This was the perfect stay! The house is very nice and well kept, in a gated community, and has a great bathroom. It is perfect for a couples getaway. The host was very active and sent multiple ideas on things to do. Also checked with a news channel to keep an eye on possible bad weather. We will be back and checking with Avi on availability! Thank you!!!

Avi's property was beautiful. Everything is fresh and new. The apartment uses space thoughtfully. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the view from the private patio is wonderful. Avi communicates well and has a house book with everything you need to know and great recommendations. It is conveniently located to everything on the Kailua- Kona side. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway for a couple or single.

We stayed here for 9 days and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Avi made us feel completely welcome. The home was immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with everything we needed. Every window and sliding door had screens, letting us enjoy the island breeze without worrying about bugs. The small backyard was peaceful and private, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The added bonus of AC made a big difference, as it is not always standard in rentals. Inside, the space was exceptionally well-equipped. We had quality beach chairs, towels, and a kitchenette that made meals easy. The house book of local recommendations was a great touch and helped us discover hidden gems around the Big Island. Avi was an outstanding host, always quick to respond, thoughtful, and proactive. Knowing we wanted to see the volcano erupt, he kept us updated on its activity, which made the experience even more memorable. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and ideally located. I especially loved the nearby Walua Road trail for walks and jogs. This place truly felt like a home away from home. We are so grateful for everything and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend, thank you Avi!

Hidden gem for sure!

Planned a quick trip:1 night Kona, 1 Hilo (see Kiluaea) & 2 Kona. Delighted to have found Avi's home. Photos do not do it justice. Everything you might need (less to pack). Beautiful, peaceful area. What really made it special is Avi's attentiveness to make your stay tailored to your wishes.. can't wait to visit again!!
