Gorgeous Ocean View, Comfortable Cool Elevation, Close to Everything!

This is a newer home with stunning views. Beautifully nestled in Mt. Hualalai which is your backyard and a gorgeous ocean view in the front. You will never want to leave the luxury and comfort of this home. The cooler temperatures at this elevation make it a comfortable location.

There is a field of friendly goats on one side of the property, yes you may feed them :)

Papaya trees are located throughout the property and you're welcome to as many as you like. We'll leave a picker for you.

**Located close to the town of Kona, Beaches, Harbor, (3miles) and the Airport (8miles), but still with a country feel, plenty of space, and privacy.


If you have any special needs, please ask we are happy to do our best to make your stay perfect!

Several day stay

The property was great, modern, clean the temperature up on the hill was great, kept the windows open every night and it was perfect. The sounds of the wild life was relaxing. Good location close to town, good communication from host. Cant ask for more.

Beautiful house in the mountains close to Kona center

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was in great shape and the small issues we had Gordon resolved right away. Although our kids are older, the house was well set up for little kids.

Great for our family

This home was well equipped for our stay. We like to cook in and the kitchen had what we needed! The lanai and the views of the ocean and sunsets were really awesome. Location is a little interesting but you definitely feel like you're in the tropics with lots of birds and creatures making sounds in the night. The cow and the rooster added to the experience. Only complaint was the yapping dogs at the neighbors house. We also appreciated the beach gear - cooler, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards. Overall a very nice home and I would recommend it!

Enjoying Hawaii in Kona

Gordon’s house is a very good size for 6 people. The view and sunsets were delightful. We had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. I liked all the updated appliances. We would stay here again. My husband and I thought the beds were a little too soft but my daughter and husband had no complaints. We had trouble with a TV but there were three of them and two were sufficient for our enjoyment. Mehallo Gordon. The house is equally situated between Kona and some very nice beaches.

Beautiful views and close to town

Everything you need is here and you're only a 10 min drive to Kona. Beautiful property in the hills just above town. They had toys for the kids, all the beach gear needed, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Clean, quiet and a central location with beautiful sunset views. The perfect elevation for day time sun and cooler evenings for sleeping. AC is not needed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The owner was prompt to answer any questions and friendly.

Kona House Relaxation & Rejuvenation

Family getaway for midwinter break

We had an awesome trip to Kona and a great stay at the Blue Marlin Lodge. A beautiful home with a beautiful view. The house was very clean and well appointed from plenty of extra linens, to kitchen supplies and comfortable furniture/bedding. Shawn and Kimberly truly go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need for your stay. We arrived and found a plethora of brand new baby and kid items which made the stay with our 4 and 1 year old nephews that much nicer. Activities and beaches were all a quick drive and the home came with lots of great beach gear (pop-up shelter, beach wagon, rolling cooler, boogie boards, towels and snorkeling gear). Don’t forget about the neighbor’s goats and cow in the surrounding yard - our kids loved feeding them fresh papaya from one of the many papaya trees on the property. The hosts even left some hay for the kids to feed them. Check in was a breeze. The hosts reached out and let us know we could check in early since the house was ready. When we arrived the house was open with fans going and windows open…felt like we were checking into a nice hotel :) Check out was also great. Our flights were delayed for several hours and the hosts graciously allowed us to take our time checking out that day. We cleaned up like we would our own home (excluding scrubbing bathrooms and doing the laundry) and were refunded our cleaning fee. I’m sure I’m leaving off a lot of other great things, but you get it - this is a great place to stay! Thank you Shawn and Kimberly! We’d come back again for sure.
