"Absolutely adorable little cabin nestled directly on the waters edge. A minutes walk from the boat ramp and dock. Very homey feeling, nothing fancy, but more than enough to enjoy a weekend away with the family. It’s close to Shakertown village, and only 45 minutes from Lexington. We spent two nights in “big cabin” the kids loved it. Good WiFi connection, YouTube, and Netflix available. The owner was available and friendly. "Had a great time at the house! We were in town for the Bourbon trail and Keeneland. The house was perfect for our group of 8 and remote enough that we got a great bang for our buck while still being able to get a bus for the bourbon trail. Plenty of room for people to sleep and the game room was really cool. The Captain’s quarters (master bedroom) was amazing! I’d definitely stay again. "

"Amazing property! Beautiful old southern manor which has been maintained true to its heritage. We felt privileged to stay in this beautiful home. The surrounding grounds are meticulously cared for and offer a peaceful, beautiful base for a Kentucky Bourbon Trail trip. We were 11 long-time friends (five couples and one single) gathering in Kentucky for three days. The home and carriage house provided ample room for sleeping, cooking and socializing. "I came in for an evening with my dog for a family members wedding. Mike was very friendly and responsive at my time. It’s a very beautiful piece of property. Additionally the rental area has everything you would need. You can tell that the effort is put in to be as helpful and accommodating for the stay. "We came in for the Brassband Festival and stayed at the cozy property. In the mornings it was serene and comfortable over looking the lake. The road in and out was a little stressful due to the narrowness of it, but we would stay here again when we come back to the area. "

"Recently returned from a week's stay: 2 couples, 1 single, and the younger couple's kids (6mo, 9, 12, 15yo) - extended family. The layout of the house was perfect for us, with all BRs & 2 of the full BAs on upper floor, a roomy, well-lit, & sensibly designed (& well-equipped!) kitchen that easily enabled 2 or more of us to be working on meal prep @ same time without tripping over each other, and plenty of dining areas - the main table was large enough to fit us all, so we kept a jigsaw puzzle...
