Magical Retreat In Julian With Pool & Amazing Views

Welcome to Shambala, a peaceful retreat in the beautiful mountains of Julian! This unique and newly renovated home is perfect for families, girls' getaways or romantic honeymoons. Shambala has magnificent views from every room, a star deck to enjoy Julian's stellar night sky, a gourmet kitchen, almost 4 acres to explore and a 40' swimming pool to dive into (from May - September). Birdwatching, apple-picking, gorgeous hikes, great restaurants and fun in the snow - Julian’s got it all!

Each beautifully decorated room is filled with art, comfort and good vibes!

The main bedroom has a Juliette balcony for extra amazing mountain views, a king sized bed for the best dreams ever and an electric fireplace to keep things cozy! The second bedroom is expansive with a queen sized bed that has views to Volcan Mountain and beyond. The third bedroom, called Angels’ Landing, has its own outside access on the third floor and has two full beds tucked into this heavenly room. It even has its own star deck to gaze at the Milky Way.

The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. There is intentionally no microwave to encourage slowing down. The Italian-made convection oven will get the job done!

Both well-appointed bathrooms have lovely showers. Towels and sheets are included.

The home is heated in the winter by a wood burning stove and electric fireplaces. In the summer, this well ventilated home has fans and a portable air conditioner in the main bedroom.

The property is fully fenced which makes for a wonderful retreat for your dogs, too!

A Sonos sound system throughout the house let’s you play your music of choice.

For extra fun, we have an outdoor ping pong table, a tree swing, a hammock, a fire pit, board games and floaties for the pool.

Shambala is located in the sought-after Pine Hills community in Julian. The peaceful neighborhood is wonderful for long walks among the Pine and Oak trees with wildflowers abundant year round. Just a 5 -10 minute drive to the historic downtown Julian, you will find excellent restaurants, quaint shops and delicious apple pies. Nearby you may go wine tasting, get massages, take a yoga class, hike Volcan Mountain, drink hard cider, listen to live music and take art classes at the Hubbell Ranch. At night, the stars are spectacular with Julian proudly being a certified International Dark Sky community. Julian truly has it all for a fun, refreshing and dynamic getaway!
