"Apart from a few stray hairs and very mild stains on the bedding (which seems to be the case at the vast majority of places), the room was very clean and cozy. Well lit room, great shower, immaculately clean bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, good wifi, very effective heater, and (free) parking very close to room. Staff was very welcoming upon arrival, and everything worked as expected, making White Oaks an amazing value for my stay in the area!"

"Came down for a birthday dinner and made it a 1 night staycation. We had a great view of the riverfront and city buildings. The staff was nice, the room was spacious and clean. Would come back for another visit. "

"Room had a mildew odor, TV only had 26 channels, Air Conditioner/Heating system was not working properly, no phone landlind in the room. The whole 1st floor hallway had a stinky odor. Felt very uncomfortable in the room. Weird sounds all night long. Seemed more like a shelter for homeless individuals. "

"The room was not clean it was more so the smell from the blankets, the bathroom was dirty and hair was in the tub and a spider, the outside was nice. The young guy was cool but for the price it's not worth it honestly and I thought Delaware didn't tax. Also no one comes around to clean the rooms like normal motels do so don't look forward to getting a clean room."

"The breakfast menu was fresh and delicious. It was missing potatoes tho, but those waffles!! Hotel was extremely clean and modernized. The only complaint of my whole stay was the fact that the TV (and rest of the pier near the beds) turn off in the middle of the night. I’m a TV sleeper so every time the TV turned off I immediately woke up and struggled to get it back on. Despite that I would absolutely stay again! "

"The day staff was amazing! Engaging and welcoming. One of the entrances wouldn't register my card to let me in, the other didn't need a card, we just walked in. Having to exchange our towels to get fresh ones was not a comfortable experience. The fire alarm and evacuation at 5 am the day of our event was unavoidable but still disturbing."

"Not recommended. Rooms are in terrible shape, holes on closet doors, no lamp shades, stained bedding, bathroom lighting not working, and missing microwave. Hallways smelled damp and smokey. Brought it to the front desk attention, and they simply did not care. Asked for someone to come and fix light in bathroom and was told that no one had complained about it before, and it was too late for someone to come out. Yes that was their answer. "

"The hotel and room were fine however, the hot tub wasn’t working and it was not noted on the website. Also, the pool closes too early at 8 pm. We were there for a tournament and got back around 7:50, when we went to our room, the key cards did not work and when I went down to the front desk, they expected me to wait on the line of people were checking in. My daughter needed to get into the room desperately so I just went to the front of the line and said please reactivate the keys.. there was no...

"a roach was walking on the nightstand, another walking up the bathroom wall. shower curtain rod was damaged & hanging badly, toilet was cracked & had sort-of been patched but was leaking on the floor. coffeemaker had previously used grounds still in it. several men pacing around outside in the dark. the remodel was nice but not enough & didn't feel safe."

"Enjoyable overall."

"Only one room was ready at 9 pm the second not til 10 pm. It was a real hardship with two elderly parents and two children to have to wait while the clean rooms to order. Not your typical Marriott stay at all and I am loyal to them. I will say the gentleman on the desk that night was trying his best to accommodate not only me but other guests. It’s a shame they do t set staff up for success with those conditions! I will not stay there again. "
