Beautiful and Dreamy Escape
We stayed at this beautiful villa with family (4 adults and 2 children aged 1 and 3).
Great layout for families with children or multiple guests. The villa was clean and well appointed/well stocked (especially the kitchen- it had all the essentials, including a nespresso machine!). We cooked often and had a chef come one evening to make a beautiful meal.
There is a large common area that leads out to the pool and a lovely outdoor area. And one floor below there is a sauna with some workout equipment and a cellar / games room. There are also bikes, a paddle board, kayak and other gear if you are feeling outdoorsy. We would launch the paddle board from in front of the villa and head out across the little inlet/bay.
You have the most beautiful views from the upstairs balconies and from the pool which overlooks the ocean. We spent many mornings sipping coffee by the pool, and many evenings having dinner outside and watching the sunset. It was peaceful and magical.
The ocean is steps away from the villa and there is a small rocky shore where you can go for a dip or launch a kayak/paddle board. Walking out of the villa to the left, you can walk along a beach path/road for a fairly long stretch and within 6-10 mins are a few charming beach cafes + a small resort. If you walk to the other direction, along the water, you will find yourself in the center of Vrboska (10 mins walk - even with children!). There are a few charming restaurants, ice cream shops, bakery, grocery store. We ate in the center of town a few times and had excellent meals and service.
We loved being in Vrboska and we were a short drive away from Stari Grad and Jelsa, and maybe 25-30 mins from Hvar. We also took advantage of local charters to cross over to Bol and Zlatni Rat (15 mins from Vrboska) and also to visit the Pakleni Islands.
In advance of the trip, the owner was very friendly and responsive. He helped to answer many questions and was a helpful guide. The custodian at the home Mr Zorko was also very kind and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay and found that everyone was so hospitable and caring. I they went above and beyond. A very memorable stay - would recommend very highly.
