"Charming house in great neighborhood in walking distance to town, shops & food. Host Lori (& hubby) have done a great job creating a cozy, comfortable home for guests. The way they documented the history & transformation of the Church House was really remarkable. We loved the history of the area! And all of the neighbors/business owners/workers were so friendly & helpful. We will be back as we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted to do."

"Perfect for a weekend getaway! Just 15 miles from historic downtown Jefferson where we spent the days. Then back to the cabin on Lake of the Pines to watch the sunset on the porch of the cabin. So quiet the only noise was the birds at the water and the squirrels chattering and playing. "

"Beautiful home with so many wonderful antiques and charming appointments. Spacious rooms. Large dining table with many chairs. So many places to gather. A delightful breezeway with ceiling fans and comfortable wicker chairs and loveseats. Many outdoor seating spots and a lovely front porch to gather. We loved the golf cart supplied to go out each night to dinner. Also, the wonderfully landscaped homes in the area were so much fun to drive by. "

"Perfect for an overnight stay! It was clean & in a super convenient location...we literally walked everywhere. The only thing I would note is that its like an apartment connected to a beauty salon - which was absolutely fine for us (my mom is a cosmetologist & I'm used to it) so the perm smell was pretty strong when we first arrived. It did air out by the time we made it back from dinner, but people with scent sensitives may need to make note. "

"Booked this cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and surroundings very peaceful. Just wish I was brave enough to get in the water! Enjoyed our time in downtown Jefferson too. Want to come back with fishing poles as our son would love it. Thank you for the opportunity to appreciate nature with modern amenities!"

"We had an amazing time. The property was perfect for our group of 9. We made use of the kayaks and paddleboard, the fire pit and the grill. Everything worked perfectly. Communication with our host was great. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"The cabin was very comfortable and well-furnished. Plenty of hot water and a good shower. The air conditioner worked particularly well. The location was just what we were looking for—on the banks of a slough that connected to Big Cypress Bayou. We were able to put in right by the cabin, but we weren’t bothered by the boat traffic out on the bayou. "

"This was our second stay at this wonderful home. Located just minutes from everything in Longview, but quiet enough to sit inside or on the back porch and just talk. Having use of the garage was a real bonus because it kept our vehicles out of the sun.We would definitely stay here again. "
