wedding weekend

it was the perfect location for our extended family. we were in town for a wedding located in downtown Janesville, just 5 min away. The game room kept the teens busy. the multiple bedrooms on the main floor was great for grandparents. The owner was very attentive to any needs/questions.

Rock River Thanksgiving

Jamie is a wonderful host who went way beyond the norm to make our visit a success. She had a ramp to accommodate my mom’s wheelchair and set up tables to seat 15 guests and generally made our Thanksgiving a success.

Large property, great for a group of friends or family!

Beautiful house and property! Firepit by the river. Large backyard great for yard games. Patio overlooking the river, great for coffee and dining. Plenty of sitting room for entertaining!

Cozy family stay

The home had everything we needed for a quiet family getaway. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Our nephew loved the game room and the whole family enjoyed having loads of outdoor space.

Great house

This was a perfect spot for a get together with 3 couples. The house was very clean and well stocked. The communication with Jaime, one of the owners, was excellent. She called us before our stay to see if we had any questions or concerns. She was very accommodating while we were there as well. It was a great place to stay!

Peaceful

Arrived on a Friday and the checkin was a breeze. Talked with the manager a few days beforehand about dinning and activities in the area. Very nice home and had everything we needed. Relaxing fire pit by the river that was really nice with a big open yard. If we are in the area again we will be looking to come back!

Well -Appointed & Peaceful Retreat

This home is beautiful, clean, & peaceful. Jamie, one of the owner/managers, checked in with us before & after our stay & just made us feel so welcome. We were in town for a funeral & having such a restful place to return to was very nice. Our teenager was also well taken care of with the stellar entertainment/living space in the lower level. I would give this place six stars if I could!

Long weekend in Janesville

Stayed in this house with seven others for four days. It was just as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Great view of the river. Plenty of parking for four cars. Owner was very easy to communicate with. Check in could not have been easier. We had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend.

Lovely Family Home

Enjoyed the shady tree by the river. There was plenty to do on the property, from the game room to watching boats on the river. My whole family (aged 2 to 88) loved the stay.

Literally everything was perfect!! Our host went above and beyond and made us feel welcome and at home. The house was spotless, happy, it’s even prettier than the photos. We will definitely stay again. I can’t recommend it enough!

Cozy Winter Retreat

The Rock River Retreat was the perfect place for an extended family weekend. There was a total of 14 guests and this house accommodated everyone in extreme comfort. We had ample room to spread out and there were also plenty of great gathering spaces. The view of the river from the west side of the house is breathtaking--we spotted bald eagles all during the weekend! Communication with our host, Jaime was super easy and whenever I contacted her with a question I received a response within minutes. It was a family consensus that we would come back here whenever we wanted to get together!

Fantastic home for large group

The house is great! We had 3 generations of family staying there for 4 days/nights. It works very well for large groups, as there is ample space, with multiple living areas. It worked well to gather together, as well as to give different groups their own space as desired. The kids loved the game room and closet full of board games. The kitchen and everything in the house is very well-stocked. They even pulled out a couple of high chairs for our little ones. The big back yard right on the river is amazing. The property owner was extremely helpful and proactively communicated, providing all info needed, including great recommendations on activities in the area. The location is terrific....easy to get to parks, walking/running paths, and downtown. I highly recommend this home, especially for large families / groups.

Clean, accommodating place for fun!

We had adequate room, beautiful views and easy access to the sandy beach! The house was so comfortable, just like home. Plenty of front yard for games to be set up, and, by the way, they have so many game activities that you will find so many things to do both indoors and out. Very pleased with our experience!

Family Christmas

The home was perfect for our family (9) Christmas get together. Extremely well kept! The rooms were large enough for all to gather, open presents and play games. Kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. Rooms have beautiful views of the river, we even saw a couple of eagles. The owners were very accommodating and pleasant to work with. Answered our questions very promptly. This property blessed our family with amazing Christmas memories despite a pandemic! Definitely recommend this beautiful home and hope to return!

Girls' weekend

We stayed with 5 girls for two nights. The place is perfect. We all had our separate bedrooms, lots of space and a good equipped kitchen. We went for a hike on the ice age trail just a few minutes by car from the house. And while we were inside we enjoyed the view of the river. Very nice place!
