"We had the best lakehouse weekend and this property was PERFECT for when you have multiple families and age ranges. Plenty of space, the lake is super calm so easy for kids swimming, and the house is so nice! Definitely will be staying again!!"

"If you are looking for a unique and economical way to enjoy a boat stay, this is it. It is a version of RV camping but on the water. The boat is older so has quirks but if you can camp in a pop up camper you can handle this accommodation. We had a great experience at ‘Take a break in nature’! Kevin was very responsive to inquiries and helpful. "

"The house was amazing! So nice and well maintained. The location was perfect for the group; we rented a boat and had the best time on the river! Georgetown is very close so there were many food choices also. Mitch the owner was great - he communicated quickly and was a genuinely nice person. Wonderful trip!"

It was 15 min. to our trailhead destination. We were the only folks on site. I spent hours on the porches of the big house and sitting under the magnificent Live Oaks. My Merlin bird ID app must have found more than 30 different species. Recommend for nature lovers and quiet escapes. Exceeded expectations. "

We were on the island alone, which is always easier when traveling with our golden.This was a last-minute booking, and the host was accommodating in getting us in. He has also installed many techniques to make this almost off-the-grid experience easier."
