2HAB frente al mar en Captain's Court con hermosas vistas!

Nuestra encantadora villa de 2 dormitorios se encuentra en el complejo Captain's Court adyacente al hotel Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Salga por las puertas corredizas de vidrio de la sala de estar principal hacia un patio que mira hacia el Océano Atlántico. Camina unos pasos desde el patio hasta el paseo marítimo que baja por la playa. Cerca de The Amelia Island Plantation ofrece muchas actividades que incluyen golf cercano, tenis, bicicleta y senderos para caminar, recorridos por la naturaleza y en Segway, un spa, tiendas y restaurantes, ¡por supuesto, todo esto es si puedes alejarte de las hermosas playas de arena blanca!

Nuestra villa es cómoda, está bien mantenida y es ideal para familias, con fácil caminar en un nivel a la playa y en el otro nivel a un pequeño patio de césped rodeado de árboles. La unidad está alicatada en todas partes. La cocina es de tamaño confortable con fácil acceso al almacenamiento y electrodomésticos. Está completamente equipada con platos, pequeños electrodomésticos y utensilios de cocina.

La sala de estar es abierta y bien ventilada con una vista fabulosa del océano. El sofá es una cama queen. La cocina se actualizó a finales de 2016. Otras comodidades incluyen un gran televisor de pantalla plana, reproductor de DVD y acceso inalámbrico a Internet de alta velocidad.

El complejo Captain's Court es pequeño e íntimo con solo 32 unidades, pero está al lado del hotel Omni y muy cerca de todas las comodidades del complejo. El complejo también tiene su propia piscina y cancha de tenis. La unidad está situada en la parte superior y lateral de una duna de arena y hay escaleras desde el estacionamiento hasta la unidad. La unidad es de dos niveles y también incluye escaleras. No es adecuado para personas con problemas de movilidad.

Property was clean and well stocked. Great location. Some steps to get to unit for anyone with mobility issues but parking was easy. Great views and easy to get to beach and shops/stores/restaurants on the Omni plantation.

Dirty towels, a very dusty unit, bathrooms were filthy siding door not working. No mention of not being able. To unload tto get to the unit with a suitcase was a nightmare.

Overall, enjoyed our stay. Great view. Easy access to beach.Only issues encountered were did not get check in information until almost when we arrived. And when we got to condo, cleaning crew was still on site cleaning the place. After that everything went well. Would stay there again.

Can't beat the view!

We were very happy with our accommodations at Captain's Court. It was so wonderful to be able to walk directly to the beach and to have that beautiful view from the very comfortable patio. I wish there had been a chair or two on the pretty patio area off the bedrooms, a great place to lounge out of the wind. The door from the main bedroom to the back patio area is not operational and needs to be repaired. We did not find the steps to the unit a problem....they were well worth it for the view! We were there in late February and early March...not sure when the unit last had a deep clean but it could use it.

Stairway to Peace and Tranquility

Great property! We loved being able to walk to the Omni shops for food and shopping. We usually stay on the north end of the island, but the southern end has won us over all thanks to this location! Previous rentals we’ve stayed in have not had the best furniture; that is NOT the case here! Furniture was comfortable and well kept. Yes there are stairs, but they aren’t steep. Plush, well manicured grounds, and an amazing view of the beach! Oh and let me tell you about the sunrise, very picturesque!

Beautiful Location

Loved this place, except all the stairs. Lots of stairs going up but if you go to 3rd set, not as many. We didnt realize that the unit also has 3 floors, so basically you go up to go down... great location, beautiful condo, close to shope and restaurants on site. Falcons Nest was good. The pool was also clean and refreshing

Beautiful beachfront condo

This is a very cute, well-appointed condo with stunning ocean views. The lower level patio lets out to a beautiful green space and connects to the beach path in seconds. We had a short stay, but there is much to explore around the Omni. You do need to go down a number of stairs from the parking, which was fine for my family but may be tricky for others.

Quiet, beachfront, great paths

We had a few small issues (washing machine wouldn't start, internet went out) and the property manager Jennifer was incredibly responsive. She came to the condo twice to help with the washer and found out about the internet outage quickly. Issues are bound to arise and we are grateful she handled to quickly and effectively.

Perfect!

The view from this condo is spectacular because you are looking at a beautiful green space with grass and palm trees then out to the beautiful ocean. Walk to beach was easy as could be! Beach was peaceful and fairly empty. Very windy due to storm that passed through. Condo nicely stocked. Only comment is there is no place to rinse feet and beach supplies when leaving beach. Beds and furniture all very comfortable.

This is the third time we have stayed in this unit. It has a perfect location, with an uncrowded beach. It is nicely set up, with a lovely view of the ocean, sunrises and sunsets. Convenient to Fernandina and great places to eat. We will be back!

Dreamy Beach Views

The views don't disappoint at this cozy condo. We loved seeing the beach and the ocean from the main living area and patio. That was definitely the highlight of our weeklong stay. We brought our small dog along and met many other dogs while we were there. We also met many tortoises and gekkos on our walks around the property. It's a nature lover's paradise! The condo was comfortable, but seemed cramped for four adults and a baby. The condo is set up on 3 levels. The entrance is on the top level, then the main level is down a set of steps, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the lowest level. Many previous guests have commented on the number of stairs you have to ascend to reach the condo. I would have to agree. With two separate families, and one with an infant, we had a LOT of things to carry up (and down) all those stairs and it was not fun. We experienced a couple of other issues during our stay. The Captain's Court pool was closed for 3 days of our stay, and without any advance notice. We contacted the management company to see if we could use another pool on the property, but they were not able to get us access. That was a disappointment, as access to the pool was one reason we booked this condo. In addition, an animal had been digging up the lawn adjoining our patio. It was a little difficult to navigate around the holes at night when we took our dog out for a walk. We loved visiting Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, but the stay was not what we'd hoped for.

Enjoyed the unit. Everything was as advertised. Nice sturdy patio furniture. Sunrises spectacular. Very quiet with ready access to beachfront. Walked beach every morning 43 steps will tire you but once you get there all good. Also code for door hit home after putting in code to both open and close

lovely home with great beach access and view

This is a very nice rental. The view from the living room and kitchen was outstanding. Our dog loved the grassy areas on two levels. The steps getting to the condo were only a problem getting two weeks worth of stuff lugged in and out, but we were aware of them beforehand. The condo is three levels so a lot of up and down from one room to the next.

Great location, but accused of stealing a pillow?!?

My wife and I (plus our Labradoodle) stayed for 3 nights in late December. Other reviews describe the property perfectly. We enjoyed the quiet beaches and our dog loved the beach walks. Property can be tricky to find initially but directions and Omni security staff are very helpful. Now, onto the reason for the 2-star review. After checking out on-time we were driving home that same day. A property manager calls me and asks if we took a "Coral Pillow", as she can't find it in the condo. She said it was an accent pillow that was on the bed in the master bedroom. The manager got a little snooty with us after we told her that a) we didn't remember seeing a coral pillow, and b) we definitely didn't take anything from the condo that wasn't ours. Fast-forward 24 hours later, I get an email from VRBO saying the rental company is charging me an extra $20 for the accent pillow. Basically, that's accusing me of theft since you couldn't find a pillow!!! I called the rental company back, no response for a few days. In the mean-time, I opened a complaint ticket with VRBO. In conclusion, I get a call a few days later from the same manager, saying that her laundry crew found the pillow (it was thrown in the laundry with the bedsheets) and that she's very sorry. I'd like to think that after we get charged a $300 cleaning+pet fee and are guests at the property, we'd at least get the benefit of the doubt before just assuming we stole a silly accent pillow, but apparently not. The $20 charge was refunded. We won't be staying here again and will avoid the property management company going forward.
