"If your history buff exploring the area this is your ideal base of operations. Close to many local historical sites and the place itself is a piece of Americana. If the walls could talk in this place who knows what it would tell us about the past. The place is remarkably well kept given its age and the centuries old architecture lends to the quaintness of this landmark."

"Pro: It was great that they could accommodate our dog. Con: The constant slamming of the room doors toward the evening and throughout the night that was a bit of an irritant. We've stayed at this same hotel before and never remember that much noise from the doors. "

"Overall this is a great place and very convenient for going to Shenandoah. The only aspect where I thought things were lacking was the cleaning, as there was a bag of trash left hanging from the door and there was no shampoo. I didn’t discover the missing shampoo until it was too late to do anything about it, which was unfortunate because I really wanted to wash my hair."

"you get what you pay for. In this instance, it’s not really a bad thing. It’s nothing luxurious. The property is run down and needs an update and some clean up in the parking lot. But, our room was a super reasonable price, clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. The staff was nice. There was a small exercise room and an outdoor pool (looked run down, but clean) The area is great. Very walkable and close to the downtown area- you can’t beat the location. We felt safe there. "The property is easy to miss because there is one entry lane, and the property is set back out of easy sight from the road. The setback does provide for a quieter environment. The toilet seat has a lid, so items can be placed on it, helpful in the absence of hooks."
