Welcome to my peaceful lakefront escape on Ackerson Lake — a thoughtfully furnished 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home designed for rest, connection, and slow mornings by the water. Whether you're sipping coffee on the deck, paddling across the lake, or unwinding by the fire pit, this home offers all the space and comfort you need to relax and reset.

This 2,000 sq. ft. home blends comfort and natural beauty in a welcoming lakefront setting. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the water, gather with friends or loved ones, and take in the rhythm of lake life — whether for a weekend or a longer stay.

THE SPACE

Bedroom 1 (Main Floor): Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): Queen bed

Additional sleeping: Two single pull-out chairs located in the finished basement (best for smaller children)

The home is most comfortable for groups up to 8. Additional guests may be allowed with prior approval and will incur an additional $50/night per person fee. Please include all guests in your booking request.

Relaxing getaway

Everything in the home is designed with guests in mind from the comfortable deck furniture with large umbrella, open living space, and cozy basement for movies/games. We felt immediately at home and all of the instructions were charming vs. the usual strict host do’s/don’ts. We’ll definitely be back!

The home was very nice & clean. Kitchen was adequate but small. Stovetop & oven outdated. The 3 upstairs bedrooms were hot. Fans were provided but still hot. The home Nextdoor to this Lakefront home was not well kept and had car up on blocks with no tires in the driveway and lots of trash. Was an eyesore. The view of the lake from home and the deck was beautiful.

The house was so nicely decorated. There were lots of little thoughtful touches available if you forgot something. Enjoyed the evenings on the deck watching the sunset & lake. Plenty of towels for use. It was very clean. Easy check-in and out.

Our second visit

This is the second time we have stayed here...and because our first stay was so lovely! This second visit also did not disappoint. The house is beautifully appointed and relaxing with everything we need. The deck and view of the lake are the perfect respite at the end of a long day at the MI Internaltional Speedway! We'll be back again next year!

Magical Experience

My husband and I stayed for two night with my four older teenagers. Each and every room of the house was beautifully decorated with endless personal touches. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you could need. We loved the kayaks, paddle boat, books, board games, beach towels and linens. We will be back again!The property is spotless and lake was clean and crisp.

Beautiful property

My sister(47), mom(77), dad(75), and I (55)visited the Jackson, MI area for a wedding. We enjoyed the property. The house is immaculate and decorated in an elegant/comfortable way. Great outdoor space. We also used the grill. It’s nice and worked well. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Comfortable and fun family stay

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay! All bedrooms had comfortable queen beds and all the bathrooms had everything we needed including plenty of fluffy towels, soaps and thoughtful extras. The coffee corner in the kitchen was well stocked and much appreciated! We especially enjoyed using the kayaks on the lovely lake and taking in the beautiful lake view from the deck. Our whole family loved it!

Quick and Easy Trip

Our family was coming to the area for a Formula SAE racing event at MIS. We knew we would have some downtime so we wanted to stay somewhere that could entertain our teenagers. This home on the lake was beyond our expectations. Kayaks, swimming, fishing, campfire, speakers everywhere for music and a great yard for soccer, spikeball and tossing the football. A well stocked kitchen and the grill made dinner simple. Beautiful linens and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Thank you for the attention to detail, it didn’t go unnoticed!We hope to come back soon!

We had a fabulous stay at Melinda’s lake house. We came in for our niece’s graduation from University of Michigan and opted to stay an hour away on the lake. Such a perfect choice! The accommodations were wonderful and Melinda is the perfect host. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Just what we needed

Loved this property. From the moment we walked into the door this place was so clean and well decorated. The view of the lake was beautiful. I rented this place for a weekend to go to the MIS Christmas lights and we totally enjoyed ourselves. We had a total of six in our party, four adults and two children. There was enough room for everyone to enjoy ourselves. This house is laid out so nice. I would definitely rent this home again. Thank you for renting your home to us.

Charming cottage

Lovely lake home

We Highly recommend!!! The lake house was so nice! Tastefully decorated and well appointed. It had pretty much everything you need for your stay available. We had three couples for a long weekend, and there was plenty of room and very comfortable furnishings. The deck overlooking the lake is fantastic. I would suggest bringing water shoes and floaties if you want to use the lake as it does not have a sandy beach. Melinda was very responsive with the one and only question I had for her. Would definitely stay here again! The bonus is that it is a short drive from the city.

Beautiful home overlooking a quiet serene lake. Everything you may need in a cozy atmosphere. Kayaks, several outdoor spaces, a cool basement (it was in the 90’s outside) and well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms. Yahoo! Perfection.
