This property is a must for anyone seeking peace, tranquility, glorious views and amazing weather. Form the off we were greeted buy Louise and Roger in a very friendly and efficient manner. They at all times seemed tuned to our requirements. We hardly knew they were close by but yet they were there in a flash if we needed them. The property was spotless and ideally located for our needs. We had any convenience we wanted (except aircon), but otherwise it was perfect. The terrace area is a sun trap where you can wile away your hours in utter peace and relaxation. The pool was a welcome treat. Not olny can yuo relax by it but you also have stunning views of the surrounding countryside while doing so. All in all we couldn't have asked for better. Even after two weeks there we didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this property and its hosts to anyone ....and in fact I have and will. Definately plan to return!!

Firstly , WOW what a place! If you want peace, tranquility and the most amazing views, this is the place to come. The place is divided up in to several areas, great for our family of 12, as you could “chill out” if you wanted to. The pool area is separated away from the main farmhouse up a slight incline,( probably not suitable if you have mobility problems.) the kids thought this was great! Moderate size pool , but plenty big enough! The views from the pool are “breathtaking” with comfortable sun beds, and table tennis area. The farmhouse is well equipped and spacious as is the annex with lovely balcony overlooking the lake. Lovely seating area to eat under the grapevine directly outside the farmhouse. There is a man made beach at the lake in Iznájar near by, but we went to Malaga about 1 hour away. Some lovely places to eat in Iznájar, about 15 mins away. Louise & roger will recommend these. This place is very rural, you will definitely need a car, but we new this and enjoyed every minute! Louise & roger are delightful, nothing was to much trouble and are on hand if needed, getting us food supplies as we were not arriving until late at night on a Saturday, the shops close on a Sunday. All in all a fantastic place, we would thoroughly recommend. The family loved the whole experience. Christine Shopland

El sitio y su entorno están muy bien. Tanto el área de piscina como los patios y terrazas de la casa. En general todo muy limpio y ordenado. Louise y Roger, los dueños, viven justo al lado pero nunca los ves, excepto cuando se les llamó para resolver alguna duda, en cuyo caso siempre fueron muy atentos y serviciales. Recomendado.

Fabulous family villa hidden in the hills with breathtaking views over Iznájar and reservoir . The lake of dreams villa was big enough for my husband and I also 4 young adults and my mother in law . The pool , WiFi ,outdoor seating and all equipment was great we spent many evenings having bbq’s and sitting under the grape vines and watching the sunset on the top terrace. With Malaga, Granada and Cordoba all with in 90 min drive this made the location of the villa ideal for exploring . Louise , roger the owners who live in the villa adjacent couldn’t be more helpful .

Just a lovely completely away from it all home. It's very quite and relaxing. There's a small shop and restaurant 10 mins by car everything else is a 20 min drive away. The view from the pool and terrace is spectacularly. Loved every minute and so sorry to leave.

Our hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful - nothing appeared to be too much trouble and they were always ready to give advice and help when needed. Our family party of 12 very much enjoyed our stay. The weather was great and at 2400 feet it was a little cooler than down in the valley. The facilities and sitting out areas were good, particularly the main eating area and the upper balcony with its fantastic views which we christened "The Bridge" ! The lovely swimming pool was a great hit with us all and the table tennis was much enjoyed. The location was good for a variety of sight seeing opportunities. For me, in my 80ies, with reduced mobility there were a lot of steps but I managed and I would still have booked had I known about the steps ! We all had a wonderful stay.

Our extended family of 7 (3 adults and 4 children age 9-17) really enjoyed our stay at Louise and Roger's farmhouse. Everything was exactly as described and the house offered everything you'd wish for. The pool and the terrace have incredible views of the lake and the city of Iznajar. They are perfect to cool-down, play or relax and enjoy a glass of wine. We always used the shaded outside tables and the BBQ for meals. We stocked up our groceries at the larger Mercadona supermarket in the next town (less than 30 minutes away). The location is excellent to make day trips to the beautiful cities in Andalusia like Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, and Ronda as you can reach each of them easily within 1-2 hours by car. We can highly recommend visiting the area, staying at the house and meeting Louise & Roger. We'd love to be back in the future.

This is a lovely traditional restored farmhouse with a wonderful terrace overlooking the picturesque surroundings and two other separate outdoor seating/dining areas, plus a lovely pool that overlooks Iznajar lake and the hills. We stayed in late August with young children when it was very hot and found the stone building with its shutters was perfectly designed for this and kept us cool inside. The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful but do not overlook the farmhouse so the holiday is perfectly private. The farmhouse was well equipped and it was very useful to have things like cooking oil, pepper, tin foil, spices and so on already stocked there. Because of the hill against which the farmhouse and pool are set there was still shade by the pool even around midday. It is very nicely restored and well thought out. It is roughly an hour from Malaga and the coast. It is a lovely setting if you like to be away from the tourist throng. The children loved the seven Spanish kittens that had adopted the owners!

From booking online to departing Louise and Roger were lovely and helpful. They have a great knowledge of the area and loads of recommendations of where to eat, what to do and how to get around. We stayed in 'the stables' part of the building and it was beautifully restored and clean upon our arrival. It was perfect for us as a couple but would suit a small family too. All the appliances and cookware you would need are in the kitchen and there is a shop a couple of minutes drive down the road. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a 20-25min drive in each direction. There are also plenty of activities around if you can peel yourself away from the pool! We enjoyed horseback riding and days on the beach at the lake where you can hire paddleboards, kyaks, small boats etc. It's so quiet and completely private, the property isn't overlooked at all. I think one of the best parts of the property is the private terrace where you can enjoy the sunsets! You will definitely require a hire car to get around. Everything you need (shops, petrol station, bars etc) are a short distance away. We particularly enjoyed a town called Rute which has a large supermarket, plenty of places to eat and shops. I would recommend looking up some basic greetings and phrases in Spanish and maybe keeping them stored on your phone or on paper just to make it easier for you to order food, buy from shops or navigate around. I would also recommend taking or hiring a sat nav, we wouldn't have coped without ours! We had such a good time and felt comfortable as soon as we arrived, we were so sad to leave! I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for a peaceful, private, secluded break but within easy access of activities if that should take your fancy. This truly is a beautiful place. The property is in a stunning location with uninterrupted views over the lake and mountains. The sunsets from the pool and terraces are just incredible. You also get a light show of shooting stars and fabulous night skies. Both the farmhouse and apartment are well equipped and comfortable. Louise and Roger are very helpful and welcoming. They now live next door so are nearby to help resolve any questions. The location is great - near enough to the airport, nearby cities and attractions but far enough into the country to feel both peaceful and authentic. We came with a large family group (11) and it made a perfect base - home from home. The local bar/restaurant, Los Pajaritos, in Fuente del Conde serves great food and is friendly and good value. The nearby village of Iznajar is lovely. We particularly enjoyed the little cafe in the Plaza del Comedios. We loved white water rafting in Cuevas Bajas, exploring in the Sierra Nevada and visiting amazing historical sites in Granada and Corduba. We all had a wonderful holiday and can't wait to come back. Thank you both very much!
