"Two sets of family stayed at this property and it was more than enough room. The house was very clean and tidy and a comfortable space. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials and all bathrooms had plenty of soap, paper towel and toilet paper.
The host was super friendly and helpful. They were very quick to respond to inquiries and helpful recommendations.
Overall, the property met our needs and we really enjoyed our stay.

"We had the most wonderful stay at Gert and Gus’s place in Margaree Harbour! From the moment we arrived, they gave us such a lovely welcome and were incredibly helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. The location couldn’t be better -perfect for exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the many gorgeous local beaches (and there are so many to choose from!). "Our stay was simply perfect!We were with our 3 children to explore Cape Breton.The mountain view front the front porch is priceless, and we started each day with our coffee looking at the scenery and listening to the cicadas.Everybody loved reading and lounging in the hammock…We enjoyed playing frisbee and running around in the large fields in front of the cabins.The emplacement was perfect for us: We visited from Chéticamp to Baddeck, and many places in between. "This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement.
The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away.
Scotty (host) is very responsive and helpful.

"We stayed a full week here and loved every minute. The host was incredibly supportive with clear directions and check ins throughout the stay. "My family has stayed at this location in 2019 and very much enjoyed it. It is located near a few beaches and near our local family which was a big plus again this trip. We were able to visit family and catch up and then not overwhelm them with the 5 of us. It was a great place to enjoy the area. Lots of visits to the local beaches. Just remember there is only 1 bathroom. Not a big deal for us as we knew this going up there and we just communicated and it was not an issue. Thank you for offering...
