Built circa 1874, Balmoral is elegant and stately – a welcoming invitation for you to take a step back in time, with all manner of modern comforts at your fingertips.
Boasting five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and multiple living spaces, this sanctuary comfortably sleeps up to nine adults.
Convenient and luxurious, Balmoral is a must-stay.
The Balmoral interiors will transport you to a place of superb luxury – the perfect complement to the home’s quiet, private location. With each precinct beautifully curated in keeping with the home’s era, guests will find delight in the thoughtful details and classic style on show throughout the property.
With four (4) large bedrooms and an additional bedroom/retreat area, two (2) bathrooms and multiple living spaces, Balmoral offers a sumptuous sanctuary for families and business travellers alike. Stay comfortable year-round with reverse-cycle air conditioning in all bedrooms as well as the expansive main living area. Relax in comfort knowing all modern conveniences have been taken care of – all that’s left is for you to enjoy Balmoral and of course, the beautiful Inverell Shire.
Signature pieces of antique furniture, pressed metal ceilings and original decorative fireplaces in every bedroom are a nod to the home’s bygone era. Gorgeous original artworks by regional artists adorn the walls. Experience absolute luxury with deluxe upholstered linen bedheads and quality bedding – chances are, you’re going to find it hard to leave! All beds are fitted with electric blankets during the cooler months.
Edinburgh (Bedroom 1) – Queen bed
Subtle florals and neutral beige, ocean and blush tones bring comfort in this space. A retreat that adjoins Edinburgh – named Dundee – features a king single bed, perfect for an additional guest or a child.
Glencoe (Bedroom 2) – Queen bed
Opulence and romance will come to mind in this room, with dusk, midnight blue and blush bringing a feeling of lavishness. A splendid King Protea artwork adds a lively touch to warm your senses.
Inverness (Bedroom 3) – Queen bed
Classic and inviting, this space will bring immediate comfort with soft blues, navy and white. Its interior touches provide the perfect setting for relaxation.
Aberdeen (Bedroom 4) – Twin King Single beds
Simple and fresh, this room inspires contentment of the best kind, with its rich landscape artwork providing a vivid backdrop to your stay at Balmoral.
Dundee (Bedroom 5) – King Single bed
Connected to the Edinburgh room, this space provides an additional bedroom complete with a king single bed and comfortable three-seater sofa. The booking of this room is dependent on booking the Edinburgh room.
A gorgeous piano takes pride of place in the expansive main living area, alongside inviting sofas, recliners, a large smart TV, and a vintage dining setting which seats 8-10 guests.
Enjoy the convenience of two bathrooms during your stay. The main bathroom features a stunning exposed timber ceiling, a new shower, and a pedestal basin and toilet. The second bathroom features a shower over a bathtub – perfect for children, as well as a pedestal basin and toilet.
If family activities are more your thing, the rumpus room offering will surely impress, with its striking exposed brick walls. It features a comfortable three-seater sofa, a smart TV, and a collection of boardgames, puzzles and premium books and magazines. An office desk allows executive guests to work in comfort, with the peace and quiet on offer in this location of great benefit too.
The Balmoral kitchen reflects an idyllic marriage of modern and historic elements – an inviting hub where cooking can take place on the impressive Aga-style Kensington 7 burner stove/oven. Practical features including a dishwasher and full-sized fridge and freezer will make your stay a breeze, not to mention a Breville Nespresso coffee machine, fresh milk in the fridge, bread, cereal, jam and other basic condiments. We have tried to consider everything and more, to offer guests a thoroughly special stay.
We also have a collaboration with a local catering company that services Balmoral. Guests can order beautiful meals delivered to their door, salads for groups and picnic hampers for up to 10 people. You can even enjoy a personal cooking service for two people at Balmoral. Sit back and relax while your two- or three-course meals are prepared, served, and cleared away.
Outside, relax with good company at the dining setting for up to eight (8) people, with a large shade umbrella. Well-maintained gardens and lawns feature within a fully enclosed yard – a popular space for kids to play. Don’t forget to use the barbeque, if you wish! The clothesline complements the home’s full laundry facilities including a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.
To make your stay as convenient as possible, items that are available on request include: High chair, portacot, change table, baby bath, shower chair.

As this is a beautifully spacious home, we invite guests to select the bedroom(s) they wish to book so that we can arrange customised access. Please refer to our gallery for photos of each room. You will have private access to the house as the only guests during your stay, and access to the bedrooms you select for your sleeping configuration.
In addition to the rooms selected at the time of booking, guests at Balmoral have complete use of the fully equipped kitchen, the home’s two (2) bathrooms, its rumpus room, living area and the outdoor spaces.
Off-street car parking is available for up to two vehicles inside the secure house yard. For any additional vehicles, street parking is ample.
We kindly request that you rinse all used dishes and cutlery and place them in the dishwasher (kindly turn it on) prior to departing Balmoral.
