"I expected that the cabin would be ruined from the flood. I called a day or so before I was due to arrive when I got an automatic message about arrival. Of course I was not comfortable coming as I had a reservation for the end of camp and camps had closed and girls sent home. I said I hoped they could use my dates for volunteers or people who had lost their homes. I hope camp will open next year and I would reserve again. "We absolutely loved the property! It was perfect for baseball families traveling for a tournament and wanting to stay together. The only issue we had was getting ahold of the property manager. We reached out through VRBO and the direct number provided in the house and never heard back. "

"Great place to getaway and relax. It was quiet, of the main road and the property and cabin were well maintained. Water level in the lake was good, and it was fun to watch the night come to life under the stars. We saw plenty of deer and even an armadillo came strolling by the porch on its way down to the lake to get some water. Good spot and would go back. "

"We had a wonderful stay at City on a Hill in Fredericksburg, TX! The cabin was cozy, private, and perfect for a weekend getaway from all the noise. We especially loved the jacuzzi, the well-equipped kitchenette, and the peaceful view of the creek and sky from the back patio. It was everything we needed to relax and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, quiet setting!"

"Well appointed and comfortable space. We enjoyed being so close to town and the river trail. Drank my morning coffee at the chairs overlooking the river and saw deer."

"We were scheduled to stay there starting July 7th but due to the tragic flooding on July 4th, we were unable to visit the property. Becky was very kind and understanding and allowed a refund for our stay. We're going to give it a little time and try to rebook what looks like a fantastic property to visit."

"I loved the location. It was quiet and relaxing. The only thing that i didn't like was that there was only one TV and the wifi was the greatest. The kids and i loved our stay. "

"A short drive from town, the property was so much fun for my family. We saw lots of deer, and the night sky was spectacular."

"We stayed in the cabin called The Outpost. The cabin was clean and basic. The bed was really comfortable. The only thing we didn't like about the cabin was the small TV that barely registered any channels. But with that being said, we didn't book this cabin to watch TV. We did get to see whitetail deer and blackbucks on the property and Omar texted us when he was going to feed the deer so we could see all our most of them on the property; about 40 head of deer. It was an impressive sight....

"Great property, great setup for large families with kids. Manager was very responsive, lots of amenities for the family!"

"It felt like we were at home very cozy spot and easy to find, would stay again. Very gracious hosts and easy to communicate with."

"We stayed at this place for 4th of July. Was not the holiday weekend any one was expecting but the trip was still good. Far away enough from the river to not have issues during the flood. Rental had lots to do even when we were stuck inside most of the day cause of the storm. Robin was very communicative. During the flooding she personally called to check on us. Would recommend this rental 10/10"
