"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Loved the little touches, electric blinds , TV in the bathroom,espresso machine etc .. also right in the middle of KL , all different type of restaurants. Breakfast at the Royal was very nice too ! "Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. "

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. "

"A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a walking holiday. Plenty of info from the helpful owner who came around to explain things shortly after I arrived. A short walk to the station. Parking OK outside cottage as long as you have a relatively small car (larger cars can park further down the lane I think). All in all an excellent cottage."
