"We enjoyed or stay and the view was terrific. Deck furniture was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Owner says she is eliminating washcloths but when we asked she provided a couple more. What would have made our stay better would have been a washer/dryer available and access to that beautiful upstairs bathroom off the master bedroom which made that nice bedroom unusable with only toilet and sink available."

"I spent 8 days there with my husband. The house is wonderful, very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you would need to live there all summer long (which we wished we could have). We were there in September, so it was nice to have a fire in a large wood stove in the evenings. The place is decorated with original artwork. The surroundings are beautiful, and the lake is great for canoeing and swimming. It is so very peaceful there. At the same time, it is located close to the Cabot Trail...

"This place is truly amazing! We were greeted by one of the owners who went over the specifics. He pointed out an eagle sitting in a nearby tree just waiting for her dinner to swim by in the river bordering the yurt. So comfy, quiet and secluded. I would definitely stay here again."

"Great host. Lovely house and location. Six stars!"

"Very nice cabin in secluded location in the woods, with a lake access. The cabin is in new condition, has very well equipped kitchen and is nicely decorated. Kayaks were available to use by the guests. The property manager was easy and fast to reach when we had some questions. Overall a very good experience."

"Great little unit that was spacious and easy to find. Close to Baddeck with easy access to the rest of the island. Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!!"

"The cottage is secluded with plenty of wildlife and amazing scenery. We were visited by fox, deer and hummingbirds!The kitchen is well appointed and beds are comfortable. Our host was very responsive to questions before and during our stay.The short walk to the shore leads to a rocky beach with lovely views and awe inspiring sunsets.Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. Make sure to stop for provisions on the way to the cottage as the nearest grocery...

"This is a lovely apartment right in the heart of Baddeck. It was very comfortable and well set up, and the host, Courtney was great. It was just a few minutes walk to a number of great restaurants. I'd like to especially call out Tom's Pizza - the pizza is amazing, and so is the value. It's just a minute up the street. We were lucky enough to be in Baddeck for the Prom Parade, Canada Day, and Kitchenfest - and heard some amazing musid. Baddeck is perfectly located to get to almost everything on...

"This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside."

"Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage."

"My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it...
