"This was one of our best trips to the NC coast. The location of this rental was perfect for us. The home was bright and smelled clean upon arrival. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. Easy access to the home, and being able to unload vehicles under a covering was much appreciated, as it rained a few times during our stay. We only stayed 3 nights, but will definitely be back. Highly recommend. "

"Steps to the Sea was a great house for our family vacation. The house is beautifully updated/decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. And the beach was great and not crowded!! Michelle was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to our questions both during booking and our stay. We would definitely stay at Steps to the Sea again!"

"This property was great! Very convenient, right on the beach, and the area was not crowded. Be aware that this is a duplex, which means that you will have next door neighbors out on the balcony next to you, and you will need to share the parking area. Overall, a great beach vacation rental! Easy check-in and check-out procedures. "

"We had the best week staying here with our 2 year old and dog. Proximity to the beach couldn’t be beat and the house was very comfortable. We would absolutely love to stay at the same location in the future!"

"There were 7 of us and two dogs. This house was wonderful. The two floor setup was great. My husband loved the "crows nest" couch overlooking the beach and living area. The elevator was so helpful for my 80 year old Mom, as well as packing and groceries. The view from the deck and the few steps to the beach were glorious!!"

"The property was gorgeous and the location is great just steps off the beach. Hot tubs were great, lovely gazebo to have meals beachside. Very swift communication from owners, our first night there was a beeping from the elevator and a technician had it fixed by 9am the next day. We hope to stay again!"

"Return visit to Answer to Prayer. This is a single family gem amongst the endless duplexes and townhomes that have overtaken Topsail Island. The first days the beach was empty and the location of the property is excellent. Thanks for making this amazing home available. "

"The home was perfect! Very quiet area on the island but also very convenient to town. The view is spectacular too. We loved sitting on the porch and taking it all in each day. The home was exactly as described in the listing. Easy check in, check out. We had all the things we needed from making meals to cocktails. Highly recommend if you are looking for peace and relaxation. "

"Everything was great. This property was so well appointed, all the dishes and appliances you could possibly need, linens, beach chairs and boogie boards. It was all great. Only gave a 3 for communication because the contact was in an area with spotty service and it sometimes took several hours to reply if we had a question. But she was always helpful and everything was great. "
