"We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "The property manager contacted us as expected and check in was easy. Inside and outside, the home was nothing as advertised. Nails sticking out of the walls, dishwasher not attached so it falls out when you pull out the rack; old cars, broken chairs, lawnmowers, old pool, old jacuzzi, a winebego, a boat and toilet seat all strewn around the yard. "This place provided the peace and refreshment that we needed. Fishing fun on the dock (biggest fish caught was almost 8 pounds!), a great place to kayak, and endless indoor entertainment for the rainy days (pool, air hockey, video games, giant Jenga). Despite the rain, we had a great time. The sunsets were amazing! James Divine answered all my questions and was a delightful host."

"We have stayed here many times, so it has become a home away from home. We have family in the area, and love staying here! The location in historic Yorktown is perfect. We can walk to the shops and restaurants, and the battle fields. We love going to Mobjack Coffee Roasters. The cottage is always clean, and the owners are very responsive to any questions. "

"This was a perfect place for our purposes. Lenny and Vicki were very attentive. They came out to speak with us. Explained everything about our stay. The place was close to a lot of things. Food was great in the area."

"The house is older. There are several weird step ups in the house and none of us left without having stubbed our toes multiple times. The house was clean but could definitely use a deep clean sometime. It would not be ideal for the elderly and is not handicap accessible at all. The yard was great though very big and the views from the beach were very nice. The location is perfect if Yorktown, Jamestown and Williamsburg are where you are visiting. "Condo was clean, beautiful, easily accessible, and beautiful grounds. Property managers were incredible. Easy to reach and very responsive. "

"Just the perfect retreat! The house was delightful, comfortable and well appointed. We loved how secluded the property was and having a private beach to explore was fantastic. Our dogs loved the woods and playing on the river!The owner was so nice, easy to communicate with and gave excellent tips to make our stay even more memorable. "We had a great time. James communicated with me throughout and before our stay. Plenty of room for 6 adults and a big dining room table that seats 10 for board games. We highly recommend it.."
