Cleanliness was as it should be, and the breakfast was wonderful. However, that's where the good ends. The gift shop was not open the entire time we were there. "I paid 72 GBP for one night in a junior suite which was probably fair but the list price of 160 Euros is way too high.
The 5 star rating I assume is due to the spa facilities rather than the overall offering.
Couldn’t fault the staff or location but the hotel itself is looking tired and dated."

"Like going back in time, without all the downsides of Medieval life. Great location and a beautifully restored old property.
Ebie at the front desk was very genuine and helpful. Felt like i was staying at a friends place. Able to park my rental right on the property (which means you get to drive right into old town)
Would definitely stay here again"
