"My boyfriend and I, with his son and his fiancé, came to the area for a wedding. We ALL loved the secluded area, the privacy, the layout of the entire place. Even only having 1 bathroom for all of us was managed well. One propane tank lasted about 1 hour the first night and when attempting to use the second it was out. "Absolutely adorable little cabin nestled directly on the waters edge. A minutes walk from the boat ramp and dock. Very homey feeling, nothing fancy, but more than enough to enjoy a weekend away with the family. It’s close to Shakertown village, and only 45 minutes from Lexington. "Amazing property! Beautiful old southern manor which has been maintained true to its heritage. We felt privileged to stay in this beautiful home. The surrounding grounds are meticulously cared for and offer a peaceful, beautiful base for a Kentucky Bourbon Trail trip. We were 11 long-time friends (five couples and one single) gathering in Kentucky for three days. The home and carriage house provided ample room for sleeping, cooking and socializing. "Had a great time at the house! We were in town for the Bourbon trail and Keeneland. The house was perfect for our group of 8 and remote enough that we got a great bang for our buck while still being able to get a bus for the bourbon trail. Plenty of room for people to sleep and the game room was really cool. The Captain’s quarters (master bedroom) was amazing! I’d definitely stay again. "

"Had a group that went on the bourbon trail and used this rental as home-base. Property was perfect for entertainment and was relaxing. However, the property manger seemed to be aggravated when we called to inform the pool not being clean, trash not taken out from previous renters and various other items being broken. Overall a great stay if you don’t sweat the little things. "

"They thought about all the details. Had lots of little extra thoughtful items. The decorations were adorable. The deck was awesome, big and lots of seating available. The surrounding trees around the deck gave kind of a canopy but you could still see the lake. They also had a very cool fire pit table on the deck. We would definitely stay here again.
