The location was absolutely perfect—right by the UTV trails and just a quick 2-minute ride down the trail to a great local bar that serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "Super fun stay! we had fun pointing out the history items and we found all the snowshoes. The only thing I would suggest is new mattresses for all 3 beds, and a screen door on the patio doors. The view was beautiful and all the accessories that were there, were super helpful! Thank you so much! "

"Great overall. Cabin was clean and cozy but a little heavy with furniture to navigate around. No toliet so thank gooodness I packed some and left a couple rola for the next guests. I’m convinced the giant tadpoles ate all the fish…not even a nibble. The hill going up to the cabin can be tough for someone with health issues. "Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake. Very peaceful, we had the luxury of having some Loons patrol the lake as well as two pairs of Swans. The fishing was fantastic for children. Mellen and the surrounding area are very beautiful. We went to Dusty’s Saloon when thirsty, had supper at Elkhorn Lodge in Clam Lake. Visited Corrigans lookout in Upson, hiked Cooper Falls but spent most of our time on the lake at the cabin. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the north woods."

"GPS directed us to the property. Convenient parking. Cabin is old, as described. Everything clean and in working condition. Way more space than we needed. We had the windows open for lake breezes during the day and kicked on the heat to take the chill out of the cabin in the morning. Kitchen was stocked for preparing meals. Groundskeepers are friendly and attentive. Waking to loon calls beats city noises! We will check here for availability in the future. "

"Joe, is a gracious host, and responsive to our questions. The check in and out process was a breeze. The home is nice and cozy perfect for a rest and recharge get away. We also enjoyed having a bonfire and a fire in the house. "

"Great place. Sleeps a bunch. Great boat slip/dock area. The slip is perfect for a wake/ski boat. Plenty of outdoor space! Proximity to town is great! We are renting again next year!!!!"
