"We really enjoyed our stay at the Elk Creek Escape. The pictures were very accurate to the current cabin. The hosts were responsive before our stay and when we were on our way. They were friendly and helped us to check in and find a place to eat. The McCarty Mercantile they suggested for breakfast had the BEST biscuits! Thank you for having us!"

"Everything was perfect! Very helpful and great recommendations about the area. We drove 7 hours for this trip and the hot tub was so wonderful. Kitchen and bathrooms very clean and bed was so comfortable. Thank you for hosting us. We appreciate you!"

"The house had everything we needed and more. It is located near Reptiland, the Hiawatha Riverboat, Pine Creek Gorge, and other family friendly attractions. There were plenty of places to eat out. The ice cream shop around the corner was a favorite stop. The kids loved the arcade but the real treasure was the scenic creek just steps away. It was the perfect location for kayaking and fishing with newbies."

"The check-in was very easy, we received the code before leaving and punched it in when we arrived and had no issues. The fireplace in the living room had a remote, and you could set the thermostat from the wall. It is a great location, a very quiet spot in the woods, we even saw deer in the back yard, but also close to town and local events. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bed was very comfortable. It was the perfect blend of rustic with all the modern conveniences."

"Amazing property and great spot to hang out for the weekend. We cooked our meals since restaurants were 20 minutes away but kitchen had everything we would need. Short drive to great state parks and would stay there again!"

"Our weekend stay was lovely. The cabin is so cozy and has everything we need. A perfect place for a relaxing weekend retreat. "

"The property was located in a nice quiet area and easy to find. The host did a great job communicating with me. Home is super clean and spacious. The gardens or flowers around the home were beautiful. This home can definitely accommodate a whole family and still have plenty of room to be comfortable. Would definitely book again Places close to Mountain View Barn where they have wedding and closer then a hotel. Rickets Glen only 20 minutes away. A small town Millville is not even 2 miles away...

"My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting Williamsport to support our dad as he underwent major surgery and recovery. I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint! It feels like a home, which was exactly what we hoped for and needed - a place to relax in between hospital visits, and place to rest comfortably and make dinner. The kitchen is the most well-equipped kitchen I've ever had the joy of using during a VRBO...

"I was in the area for the Fiber Arts Festival with my friend. The home was comfortable and the views were amazing! Jim was very responsive with all communication. I definitely will be back!"
