"This isn't our first time here: We've consistently had problems getting our luggage to the front of the hotel – and the staff just shrugs. At these prices and with such poor service, you'd expect at least a bit more friendliness. And you have to pay an extra 25 pounds per day for room cleaning. Awful! Otherwise: good location, good room amenities, spacious rooms. But: Give your staff some training in friendliness!"

"A lovely, atmospheric place very conveniently located to the train station and other sites. Several nooks for curling up with a book if you desire. My room on the top floor was gorgeous and a decent size. Depending which room, you may have to navigate stairs, but that was no issue for me. The huge bathtub was heaven for me, as I prefer baths to shower. Someone else might not like that.
