"The hotel is impressive. It's fun to stay in a castle.The breakfast buffet is extensive and the dining area is beautiful. The hotel has its own parking lot and you will need a car to get around this area. There isn't easy access to public transportation.With a car, it's just a 10-15 minute drive to Dublin City Center, Howth, or the Airport. I recommend visiting Howth, if you have time. It is a village on the coast with a beautiful cliff walk and several pubs, restaurants, markets and boutiques."

"No hot water for two days. A bit of a nightmare. Staff a bit on the slow-side in dealing with this. It’s three days that Expedia’s customer support team are trying to contact them, without success. If you don’t encounter issues like mine, the place is fine, but if anything happens, they seem to be not trained to fix things quickly and in general terms, they admitted part of the building is a bit “problematic” when it comes to hot water. "Not many shops nearby but there is a bus stop right in front of the property that will take you into the city center. However, be sure to either have a leap card or cash. The busses don’t accept debit or credit cards."

"Within half an hour of checking in, I left to catch a car and tripped and broke my foot on a small piece of metal in the parking lot that is meant to stop the gates. I had the car take me to the ER where I was x-rayed and the break was confirmed. I was keeping the hotel informed and eventually got a response that I could speak to a manager upon my return. As an employee myself, I asked for a copy of the incident report upon my return. When I returned at 5 or 6am, there was no manager to speak...

"This is a beautiful hotel and the best place to stay if attending the Aviva stadium. A great variation of dining options from bar food to á la carte - reasonably priced too. It laid on special additional services for the 6 Nations Rugby, BBQ, buffet, outside beer tent, and an outstanding male choir on match day. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped. On site parking is an absolute bonus when staying central. With the Dart stop on its doorstep and the beautiful "village" of Sandymount...
