Lake toys and hot tub included!!

A unique vacation experience awaits on this private 40 acre retreat. The property borders Lake Catherine, with 2000 feet of private shoreline, woods, creeks and trails to explore. This family friendly property is yours to explore and enjoy. The lake is just down the hill from the cabin. There are picnic areas, fire pits, hammocks and “quiet spots” with benches for rest and relaxation. Kayaks, paddle boards and a peddle boats are provided for your use. Enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, walking, wildlife viewing and picnics on your own retreat. Indoor and outdoor games provided.

The cabin is designed and decorated to help you relax. It features 2 bedrooms with king beds as well as a sleeping loft with a full bed. (The sleeping loft is ideal for kids age 5 and up.) Two full size futons in the living room for additional sleeping space.

The full bath has plush towels with soap and shampoo provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and utensils. It has a dishwasher, electric range and oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. A charcoal grill and picnic area is just outside. The natural pine wood walls help create a warm and cozy environment.

The house is air conditioned, heated and also has an all-season fireplace. The large deck has plenty of seating for outdoor relaxing or enjoying a morning cup of coffee with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and woods. Television with satellite in the living area. Games, books, movies and a Blu-ray player are available for your enjoyment.

The lake, and property are home to numerous birds and other wildlife. Deer, squirrels, chipmunks and all birds native to the area are routinely seen around the property. We regularly see Bald Eagles! Listen for their high pitched call when you are outside. Geese and ducks are seen daily on the water or flying overhead. There is a wide array of plant life on the property, from the hardwood forests to the wetland areas. In season, enjoy picking wild blackberries, blueberries and muscadines! Don't miss "Big Pine point", and one of the largest pine trees in the state.

The Hideaway Cabin at Lakeside Memories is a great place for adventure and exploration or a place to get away and relax.

Feel free to bring your boat and use the boat dock. Beach towels, Life jackets and lake toys are provided.
Firewood is provided.

The cabin doesn't have Wi-Fi. We like to suggest a better connection. Connect with your family and friends, nature or maybe yourself. This is a great place to unplug and relax. (There is good cell reception and your hotspot will work if needed.).

What to Bring:
Flashlight, good walking shoes, lake shoes, bottled water, paper plates
Ice chest, ice, something for the grill, charcoal, lighter fluid. Fishing gear.

FYI: Lakes Catherine and Hamilton have a "winter drawdown". Months of November - through March 15 of following year, the lake levels are lowered. You can still boat and use kayaks etc. but be aware of the change in lake level.

Check in was simple. Host responded to messages very quickly. The cabin was very clean. Only downfall is there is no wifi out there but its expected conaidering the location. Would stay there again.

To far from lake

The lake was a ways from the house. Had to drive to get to it. Road was too steep to walk down with children and back up. So steep was fearful of children falling or slipping and roll down to the bottom on rocks. Was disappointed with the description of the property. The picnic and swimming dock area was even further away. My grandkids used the spa because it was close and safer. Property manager came by very upset because the spa cover off and I did not respond to her email. I was on vacation, checking my emails was not a priority and was rude and sharp to my daughter. The cabin was nice and clean but not "by the lake" as described, also the harassment of the property manager spoiled our stay.

Little cabin in the woods

This property was secluded and had a private path that goes to a peaceful spot on the water. The amenities by the water were a great idea! It looks like they are building another cabin on the same road and id love to return again with the kids so they can enjoy it as well! Cant wait to go back and stay longer!

So much fun! Beautiful and Peaceful!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is adorable and extremely spacious- easily fitting our group of 7 with plenty of room left over. Beautifully decorated and the beds and bedding were soft and comfortable. The hot spring water in the fridge was such a thoughtful and welcome touch! The paddle boards and kayaks were a HUGE bonus and the highlight of the stay! As was the hot tub. The only downside was the walk to the lake. I should have more clearly read previous reviews about it so that’s on me- but it was an extremely steep hill down then a rough and tiring hike back up to the cabin which was especially rough with two younger children and my older mother. We ran into the hosts a couple times while playing outside and they were friendly and quick to check on if we were having fun or in need or any more firewood. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others (with a word of warning about the hill)! : )

“Hideaway”

Says it sleeps 10 and is portrayed as lakeside. It does not sleep 10 and is not lakeside. We also were promised a hideaway but supposedly had noise complaints from the neighbors across. Put all the dishes in dish washer stripped sheets off beds and put in front of washer a long with towels. Cleaned all the trash up and was still forced to pay a cleanliness fee.

Relaxing getaway

Mark and Lori are awesome host, property was more than we expected, great fishing, and reflecting on the day around the campfire, relaxing in the hot tub with family will have lasting memories for us, would highly recommend Mark and Lori’s relaxing getaway cabins.I would recommend 4x4’s or atv for the trip to the kayak’s and dock, we were glad that I had brought my lifted 4x4.Would definitely stay again.Horton family

Super property

My family had a great time at this cabin and the hosts were very responsive and helped with any inquiries or questions we had while we stayed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit and made good use of the kayaks that are on property. The cabin itself was a pleasure to stay in and we enjoyed the amenities including the patio. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. As some others have mentioned, there is a little bit of a walk down to the water from the cabin and the incline is somewhat steep, but shouldn’t be a problem for an active family. I wouldn’t bring someone to this property who might have difficulty navigating such an incline. All in all this is a fantastic property with so much to offer, including being in very close proximity to Hot Springs itself and other attractions, and I would highly recommend it if you’re thinking of visiting Hot Springs.

Detailed and Anticipated Needs

Was so pleasantly surprised with the minor details such as condiments in fridge, cookware, smores welcome basket and even regular sized shampoo and conditioner bottles! The kayaking was amazing, we saw 2 small gators. The hot tub under the stars is a moment we wont forget. The firewood was waiting for us and it was just perfect. The only thing that would have made it better would have been the ability to bring our dogs but it was a much needed get away for my little family. Highly highly recommend!

Cozy cabin

We had an amazing stay! The cabin was very cozy and super comfortable for our family of 6. We used the kayaks several times, the scenery was beautiful! We loved the covered back porch and hot tub. Beds were comfortable too! Historic down town was a short drive away, so was horseback riding and the mid-America museum was great!

Weekend Getaway

Perfectly quiet and relaxing weekend! Cabin was easy to get to, and had everything we needed. The water was not easy to get to, and you a 4x4 is a must! Would still stay at the property again.

The listing could be more forthcoming with the fact there is no water view or frontage at the cabin. It's on a gravel road. The fireplace is not a true masonry fireplace. The gravel drive down to the lake is VERY steep. All wheel drive is recommended. Some would not be able to walk it. We had a hot water (hot and cold reversed) and bug issue in shower bathroom. There is another bath thankfully. That being said.....The cabin is delightful and once you get down to the water, it's very peaceful and the water toys available were in great shape. We enjoyed our time on the water and Hot Springs is about a 10 - 15 minute drive. Arkansas is a beautiful state. 3 days is enough to enjoy this area. I really wanted something on the water. Listing is misleading. Please make it more clear. Host Lori was great. I'd go again. Great place to take a family.

The perfect getaway spot!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay! The cabin and property were perfect and had everything we needed! We canceled some of the plans we had so we could stay and enjoy the property. We fished, walked trails, paddle boated and kayaked. The cabin was extremely clean and cozy! We are already planning our next trip back! :)
