This stunning holiday cottage located centrally in the popular seaside town of Hornsea makes the perfect escape.
This tastefully decorated holiday home is nestled away with it's own entrance, parking and outside courtyard while still within walking distance of shops, eateries and the beach.
The space
The entrance provides a useful storage space for coats and shoes. Enter into the spacious open plan lounge and kitchen dining area. Off this area is the master bedroom. There is a small corridor from the dining area leading to two single bedrooms and the modern fitted bathroom. This property is all on one floor with just a small step at the entrance. A perfect arrangement for families with the single bedrooms away from the lounge area where adults may stay up longer. Also ideal for small group stays with three guests each able to have their own bedroom all with plenty of space for suitcases and to relax in.
The property sleeps 4 guests in the three bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the modern appliances needed to enjoy a self catering stay including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and a dining area. There is also a washing machine and clothes airer.
The property is located within the grounds of the owners home but you can be guaranteed a private stay with your own entrance (with electric gate) and fenced courtyard as well as dedicated parking space and lockbox self entry. The courtyard includes a choice of seating areas where guests can enjoy alfresco dining or a glass of wine!
Located just off Hornsea Market Place it is a 2 minute walk from local bars and restaurants and the large Hall Garth Park. The park contains plentiful open space as well as picnic benches, an adult outdoor gym and children's playpark and skatepark.
A 10 - 15 minute stroll will take you to the blue flag beach.
There is a butchers just around the corner as well as a small Co-op store in the town centre and many independent food and gifts stores.
Hornsea's large Tesco supermarket is a two minute drive away and Hornsea Freeport is about a five minute drive away. Hornsea Freeport is on the site of the Hornsea Pottery factory which prior to this was located in the buildings onsite at Potters Lodge (hence the name). At Hornsea Freeport you will find some shops (we recommend Hop Frog for those who like a craft beer / cider plus it has a good history of Hornsea Pottery and works with the license owner to create new gift items incorporating the original designs) as well as family activities such as The Potteries (pottery painting), Bugtopia and Beach Cove (indoor and outdoor play area).
Hornsea Museum is located a 5 minute walk away from Potters Lodge. Six buildings with 19 display areas, Hornsea Museum is something for all the family. Located in a former 18th century farmhouse and outbuildings with Victorian rooms, exhibition areas, over 2000 pieces of Hornsea Pottery, a model railway and model fishing boats. Children's craft days also run (usually on Wednesdays) during the school holidays and other events take place here throughout the year.
If you fancy leaving the car behind Potters Lodge is a 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop where the town service bus stops (this runs from the seafront to the Hornsea Freeport as well as calling around the town and at the Tesco superstore) as well as buses to Beverley and Hull.
A perfect property to enjoy a trip to Hornsea which was named in 2022 as the top-trending seaside resort for Airbnb rentals.
