"A great family stay in beautiful Bamburgh, which could be perfect if a couple of things were fixed in the property. A beautiful large house, 3 double and 1 twin bedrooms, 3 toilets - two with showers, one with a bath, open plan downstairs with a large dining area and log fire. Cosy and warmed up quickly due to multiple heaters around. "The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"The Counting House was perfect for our week in Northumberland. It was very comfortable and clean and we felt very at home there. "

"The cottage is hidden away in the heart of Wooler village and is a great base for walks (I'd recommend the short walk to Wooler Common) and visits to local towns, beaches and attractions. It had ample parking and was comfortable for our family of 4. The cottage is well maintained and decorated beautifully and it felt like home for our stay. Communication with hosts was friendly, clear and efficient and check-in and out was easy."

"The view from the cottage is outstanding. A long wooden table in the conservatory to sit about 8 people. There are comfy chairs too to relax in. The lounge is kind of rustic and a wee bit dark during the day. Ample table lamps to give a nice aura when it’s dark. I think there is way too much furniture in the room to be honest. "We’ve stayed at Bamburgh many times, but this was first time at this location.Overall it was good, very central, which is why we chose it…but unfortunately more steps than we thought, and probably just a bit tired looking but that did not stop us having a lovely time meeting our friends and family xx"
