  • Lovingly restored by the great-granddaughter of the original owner, Pa Willie’s is a traditional 150 year-old Bahamian/Hope Town Settlement cottage is located “Upalong,” just 200 feet from the harbour and ocean in the peaceful and picturesque heart of Hope Town. This New England style home is within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, The Wyannie Malone Museum, Saint James Methodist Church, ferry docks, grocery stores and gift shopping. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse is a short boat ride away just across the harbour. Bars and restaurants are within walking distance, but far enough away to not be noisy or disturb the peacefulness of the cottage. Relax in the front porch swing. Stroll through the historic settlement of Hope Town. Rent a golf cart, bike or boat. Private dock slip (up to 35’ with 4’ draft at low tide). Propane grill provided. Golf cart parking (by dock slip).

    The downstairs master has a queen-size bed with ensuite. There is a cozy front parlor, fully equipped kitchen with an adjacent sitting room that’s perfect for board games or puzzles, and a spacious front porch with a porch swing. Upstairs is an additional bedroom with twins that can be converted to a king, a full bath, and a cozy dormer-ed bedroom (low head room, best for a child) with one twin. Dock will accommodate boat up 35’ (4’ draft at low tide) Welcome to Pa Willies!

This was our second stay at Pa Willie’s and it was equally good as the first. When we return to Elbow Cay, we hope to stay at Pa Willie’s again. The house is perfectly located, clean, and comfortable.

We loved our stay at Pa Willie's. The house and dock were convient to get around. Lori was helpful answering all my questions. Being close to the beach made it easy to go on morning walks to watch the sunrise. Highly suggest staying here.

Charming and Comfy

Our stay at this cottage was wonderful. We love Hopetown and have visited often, but this was the first time we've stayed right in town. It was really fun and the convenience was perfect for our group of four senior citizens.

Beautiful Roomy Cottage

Pa Willie’s is a quaint cottage in the village of HopeTown. It’s close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would rent it again. Lory was helpful answering our questions.

Great place in hope town for boaters

It was a perfect spot for our boat trip and Lory made everything easy. Just a block from both the beach and marina!

Hope Town and Pa Willie’s was even better than we had hoped. The cottage is well equipped for a family of 4. Perfect location for beach and snorkel. Our boat and cart rentals were right across the street each day so close to the cottage.

An amazing stay at Pa Willie’s. As someone who once lived in Hope Town it was amazing to stay at a local property. Perfect location in town. Check in process was super simple and Lory was really helpful. The kitchen is fully equipped (though we went out for dinner every night). If you’re looking for a rental with local charm in the center of town just steps away from the beach, then you will love staying here. We highly recommend that you do and can’t wait to come back next year.

Great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’re a family that keeps coming back to Hopetown and this was the best place to stayed based on our family needs. The beach was a quick walk away for the kids and so was the playground. The kitchen was well stocked with what was needed to cook. Great place overall.

Great location and had wonderful weather. Communication with Lory was great and got prompt responses. Good AC and loved the front porch and so close to the beach.
