Tucked away on five scenic acres along the Hood River Fruit Loop, Fir Mountain Escape is the perfect retreat for those who love nature, comfort, and plenty of space to relax with family and friends.

Spacious & Comfortable
This 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home has room for up to 10 guests. Each bedroom is generously sized, and the bathrooms include full showers plus a convenient half-bath on the main floor. The open kitchen flows into the dining area, while the living room—with its wood stove and soaring cathedral ceiling—creates a warm and inviting gathering place. Two decks, one shaded and one sunny, offer peaceful spots to enjoy the fresh mountain air. And with a new mini-split AC system, you'll stay cool and comfortable in every season.

Entertainment & Extras
You'll find plenty to do whether you're staying in or heading out. The main living area includes a Smart TV, and a dedicated office space with two desks and secure wired internet makes it easy to work remotely. On the upper deck, unwind with a BBQ or a soak in the hot tub, surrounded by the tranquility of the surrounding pines.

Close to Everything
Although Fir Mountain Escape feels secluded, it's just a 12-minute drive to downtown Hood River, where you'll find great restaurants, shopping, and Columbia River access for water activities. Wine lovers can explore the many nearby wineries, while skiers and snowboarders have easy access to several resorts: Mt. Hood Meadows and Teacup Nordic Center are 20–25 minutes away, and Timberline Lodge—with year-round glacier skiing—is about 40 minutes from the house.

Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. But the overwhelming attraction to this property is the location. Our daughter’s wedding was at The Orchard venue, 2.9 miles away. We were about 6 miles from town which was very convenient. The house is large, four comfortable bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Wooded and quiet. View of the valley. Big family activity room with ping pong table and foos hockey table. Plenty of games. An office area and wash room. It’s quiet and the property has beautiful fir trees. Would definitely stay there again and look forward to returning to Hood River again.

Vacation with Old College Friends

Great stay! The property was exactly as described. No surprises! My friends and I used the house for a base of operations to drive, hike and explore the surrounding Hood River area. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware and cookware. Bedrooms and baths were well supplied with linens, towels and soaps. Laundry was also set up well with the necessary supplies. Very happy with the experience.

Clean and cozy - and an amazing view!

The grounds were well kept, the home was clean and cozy, and the view was amazing. The toys and games were well loved—the air hockey and ping pong tables are at the end of life (the ping pong table was still serviceable, air hockey was not). Ultimately the games were a bonus and not the draw to this location. Overall, it was a great experience and we would stay here again.

Relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday

We stayed three nights at this beautiful home in the woods over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was well appointed and we had everything we need to cook up a feast. The house was very comfortable and clean. The setting was incredible. Deck surrounded by Doug firs and oak trees overlooking the Hood River valley. We were glad we were able to bring our dog with us. However, a warning to other dog owners is be aware that if you explore this awesome 5 acre property with your pooch there are many burrs and ticks in the grass. Overall, we were extremely happy with the rental and the management company was fantastic. I would definitely go back.

This property is gorgeous! Amazing location, beautiful views, easy to get to town. So well stocked and excellent communication with the hosts! I’d love to return. It felt so nice to return to this beautiful home after a day out and about.

Family Windsurfing Vacation

This was the perfect getaway for our family windsurfing vacation! My husband and I, plus our two grown children with their significant others stayed three nights. The home was just far enough out of town to give us the privacy we liked and close enough to town to experience windsurfing, tennis and the local eateries. House was perfect having 3 floors so we all had our own sleeping floor. There was another bedroom with two twin beds we didn’t use, but definitely will someday when grandchildren arrive! We will absolutely rent this house again for our next trip to Hood River!

Hood River wedding

We loved staying at Fir Mountain, the house was large and clean and nicely accommodated all of us. The surrounding property was beautiful and the view was amazing. The kitchen well stocked and the hot tub was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Daughter’s Wedding

We could not have asked for a better location to host our friends and family who traveled from out of state and out of country to attend our daughter’s wedding up at Grateful Vineyard. The layout of the home was perfect and it lacked nothing. We will definitely be back the next time we spend a Hood River weekend with friends and family.

Great weekend

We really enjoyed the Fir Mountain Escape. We were in town for a weeding and it was a great location for us. The house was clean and the whole process with Arrived went smooth. The only suggestions we have is some sort of stepping stones for the front walk and the kitchen is a bit dated but overall was a great stay!

Family lodging off the beaten path

Loved the location. Plenty of room. The master bedroom worked great in that my daughter could put two Pack N Play beds in the office space/room; however she had to hang beach towels over the windows because there were no blinds. The dining table fit all of us; but it would be nice to have a booster seat or high chair for baby or toddler. The basement would be a great space for teens if a table and chairs were added to make puzzles, play cards, etc. Air hockey game didn't really work well and ping pong paddles need replacing. Had to clean out the dryer lint screen before using; it was packed with lint. Kitchen was well stocked but the non-stick pans need to be replaced because the coating was damaged and not safe to use. I reorganized cabinets as things were randomly misplaced in various cabinets, etc. I would add plastic drinking glasses; especially some taller drinkware. Nice to have individual room air units. Bathrooms were well stocked. Bedrooms well stocked. Overall, Fir Mtn. was a perfect fit for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Plenty of room to spread out.

Hood river weekend

Beautiful and spacious home. Instructions for trash pick up were somewhat confusing… we’re still not sure if we did it right but we hope so! ( we put the cans at the end of the driveway)
