Come and experience this magnificent air-conditioned, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, split-level condo in West Maui! Our beautifully furnished condo has spectacular views of the ocean making it the perfect place to whale watch (during season) and sip cocktails as you view the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean The condo has a fully remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, cookware, glassware, and everything else you need to make gourmet meals to enjoy on the lanai or at the dining room table. A washer and dryer is included in the unit for your convenience!

Downstairs, the master bedroom, living room and kitchen have views of the resort, ocean, pool and a partial view of the island of Molokai. There is a second bedroom in the upstairs loft. The master bedroom has an ultra comfortable King Bed and the second bedroom features an equally comfortable queen bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room for your use. This condo is ideal for a family as it comfortably sleeps up to 6 people.

Papakea features 2 beautiful swimming pools, jetted spa, tennis/pickle ball courts, 2 ocean side cabanas, 2 putting greens, lush gardens, a 24 hour front desk service, poolside barbecues, shuffle board and ample parking. The lush landscaped grounds are immaculately maintained and adorned with various types of ginger, plumeria, ti leaf plants, monstera, and other tropical foliage. At dusk every evening the magical twinkling tiki lights are lit and reflect on the Koi ponds throughout the property.

Papakea Resort is walking distance to restaurants, a great grocery store, ATM, and a Farmers Market. It is a short drive to world class golfing, Whaler's Village, Ka’anapali beach, Airport Beach and phenomenal shopping and dining.

*Note: All guests must check-in at the front desk upon arrival. There is a $25.00 per day resort fee that includes access to the facilities and parking.

The air conditioner in the master bedroom, even in the OFF position, stayed on blowing directly at the head of the bed. The kitchen was well appointed. The unit was decorated nicely, nice starter set of supplies, etc. The pillows were nice to look at but terrible to sleep on!!The screens on the louvered widows to the lanai need to be cleaned and repaired (or replaced) so they can be used.Thank you so much for sharing your home.

We LOVED this unit and plan to come back next year. The unit was large, clean and beautifully remodeled. It had an amazing view of the ocean, pool and grounds. When I contacted the host/property management company, they always got back quickly. Thank you for an amazing stay!

View and Location and Comfort

The unit was clean, tastefully decorated, and had every convenience that made us feel at home. We were able to see whales from the lanai even though the view looks out over the putting green and pool area. Beds were comfortable and air-conditioning was in working order even though we did not use it much because the cross draft and positioning of the condo with regard to the sun kept it nice and cool. We cooked every night, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beach chairs were appreciated!

Terrific location, great views, soothing ocean sounds

This top floor unit worked great for our family of 5 during a week-long visit to Maui. It’s a two-story unit where the 2nd bedroom is an open loft above the living area. The loft has a shade that can be pulled across the railing for privacy and to block out light. It also has its own bathroom. The loft space worked well for our 3 kids. Views from the lanai were outstanding, with soothing surf sounds drifting in from the ocean. The Papakea resort is well maintained and in a great location just north of the larger, busier resorts in Ka’anapali. We enjoyed the quieter atmosphere and much smaller crowds. There’s a small beach directly off the resort, but it’s only accessible at low tide. Otherwise the water comes up to the sea wall at the edge of the resort. However, there are wider beaches at the adjacent property to the south and just north of Papakea, which are an easy walk. You can snorkel straight out from these beaches or the resort, where there are reefs with lots of fish and even the occasional sea turtle. During our visit in March, we saw multiple whales out in the channel in front of the resort every day. The resort is made up of condos with individual owners. It has a chill vibe with families playing in the lawn and putting greens, or grilling by the pool. There isn’t a restaurant or bar on the premises. However, the adjacent property has a pool side bar and restaurant that you can use. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot. We would definitely return.

Perfect spring break getaway

Well maintained and equipped property on the west coast of Maui. Great for a family of 4. Resort had everything you could ask for. The only downside is usable beaches are a 7 minute drive away. Overall a great property.

Oceanside retreat

Beautiful ocean and pool views from this top floor condo were perfect! Daily rainbows and morning whale sightings were the highlight of the trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful property and home

This home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. They beds were comfortable and the home fit our party of 5 well. The home was well equipped and we appreciated everything from dishwasher pods, to laundry pods, to shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The view from the lanai is superb and a great place to view the ocean, pool and hot tub. The property was beautifully landscaped and was close to an ABC store with a great deli, as well as, a local bakery. The larger grocery store wasn't far, along with food trucks for some local food options. Whaler's Village is a short drive or bus ride away. The only small things that could have improved the home are an ice cream scoop, hot pad for the kitchen, and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. This home was excellent and enjoyed by us all!

Property was nice with a pretty view from the balcony. Walking distance to grocery store. Right in between Kaanapali and Kapalua Bay. Description should mention there is no beach directly off of property but beach is accessible via the next door property.

Quiet and Comfortable

We have stayed in this area of Maui before, but at a much larger resort. This was the perfect size for a quieter vacation. The only small downfall is the lack of a beach (other than about 50 feet), but the views were still amazing. The property was trimming trees for a couple days which was a bit of a mess. They closed off entire sections of parking on different days, but there wasn't nearly enough parking as it was. They need to find a better way. Our unit was very nice. Clean, and comfortable, and enough room for us and our adult daughter to have our own space. The view from the lanai awesome.

Great if you find the right unit.

All in all. Papakea is a great spot. The unit we had made all the difference. It was newly remolded, clean and had a great view of the ocean over the pool. In unit amenities were stingy, 2 trash bags, 3 rolls of TP. Could’ve used a few more. The pool was always cloudy, like it needed a good shock treatment, but it was warm and the hot tub hot. There was more than one grumpy guy in the pool giving the kids and parents the stink eye for having fun or killing the vibes with some attitude. Weber grills made for nice grilling. The sea wall hid a nice protected swim area. And the whales. Tons meandered by during our stay.
